The beginning of A Disaster

    Hey... I'm Alex I'm a girl/fairy and you want to know something cool you don't know if I'm dead or alive. let me explain. you might want to sit down for this. I't was the night before my birthday I was going to be 13 years old. My mom passed away about 5 years ago from a dragon. My dad is always away at sea so basically I'm always watching my brother tom and to be honest he's the most annoying 8 year old brother EVER. Anyways we were going to town one afternoon for our town meeting we have once a year but in hallow having a meeting a night is normal I know crazy but this meeting wasn't about making our town better and all that boring stuff no one cares about or listens too. it was about the Nina war (that's the name of the war) anyways its a war for every fairy has to fight until death and they say there were going to do it for years but they never did until this year. So that's what they explained in the meeting and tomorrow we are going to get started and it can last for A YEAR!!!! oh and by the way you have to fight until you get to the biggest mountain in hallow "Ellis" and the first person to get there and bring a ruby back to the starting point wins and everyone else DIES. so tom and I race back home to get some sleep for tomorrow. I was super nervous because my dad has no clue and is shipped in sea. I didn't want to show tom I was scared because that makes him scared but  I think by the looks of my face he can tell I was scared so he told me "its okay to cry we all have to let it out at some time" then he asked me "I'm I going to die" I told him of course not. Of course I hoped not because as many times he gets me mad at him I still love him. Then he was  asleep but I couldn't sleep not knowing what was going to happen tomorrow. It was the next day my birthday but I didn't wake up excited I woke up scared out of my mind. I got up and  but my hair in a french braid and got on a black suit with my pink wings I can change the color. I woke tom up and give him a big hug and a kiss because this will be the maybe last time. we both started to cry. I wrote a message to my best friend Emily with tear drops on the paper and falling down my side cheek. It was time to go. we got there and me and tom got in line to start. one guy said " on your mark get set GOOOOO!!!!"                   to be continued.....
