Cher’s P.O.V.
“Come on, Selena, we’ve got to go!” I shouted up the stairs to her.
I went back into the front room where Justin was sat playing a game with Amberlee, Austen and Esme.
“Will you be alright tonight? We won’t be out too late.” I asked him.
“We’ll be fine. Where are you two off out to, anyway?” Justin asked, pulling Austen onto his lap.
“We’re just off to a club, something to cheer Selena up. It has been just over a month since she split up with Chaz…” When I mentioned the club, I saw Justin’s concerned look. “Don’t worry, I won’t drink tonight, I promise. I’ll stick to soda and orange juice.”
“Alright, be safe. I love you.”
“Love you too.” I said, and went over to give him a kiss.
“I love you too, my babies.” I told my kids as I gave them a kiss each too.
I went to the bottom of the stairs again, just as Selena was coming down them.
“You ready then?” I asked.
She nodded, and we walked out of the house arm-in-arm.
Once we arrived at the club, I saw the one person I least wanted to see that night sitting at the bar.
“Shit, that’s Tyler Gray.” muttered to Selena, and stopped her from walking further.
“Who’s Tyler Gray?” Selena asked.
“A guy I went to school with. And back in February, when Justin and I were on our break, Tyler kissed me and almost ruined my relationship with Justin.”
“What a douche! I’m going to go and give him a piece of my mind!”
“No, don’t Selena! He doesn’t know he almost ruined my relationship. He probably thought that no one would find out because he might’ve thought that the paps don’t follow me everywhere even though they always do. He still thinks I’m his friend and, honestly, I don’t want anymore enemies.”
“Fine, I won’t say anything. You don’t exactly have to talk to him tonight if you don’t want to. Just don’t look at him. Come on.”
Selena grabbed my hand and we started to walk over to the dancefloor.
Despite our plan, we weren’t quite lucky enough and Tyler spotted us straight away.
He got up from his stool and stood in front of me, his arms open wide.
“Cherlynn! What a surprise to see you here!” He said quite loudly so I could hear him over all the background noise.
I gave him a hug; he was a lot more enthusiastic about it than I was.
“It’s great to see you again. It’s been so long. Well, only 4 months but you know what I mean. I would’ve texted you so we could’ve met up or something but I’ve been so busy with wedding things that I just simply haven’t been able to find the time. Sorry.” Gosh, how fake did I sound!?
“It’s alright. I’ve heard that wedding preparation is always a very stressful time. Anyway, who is this beautiful friend of yours?”
Is he really that stupid!? Does he really not know who Selena Gomez is!?
“Surely you know her! She’s Selena Gomez, everyone’s heard of her! She’s also my ex-girlfriend.”
This puzzled him a bit. “But, if she’s your ex, why are you here with her tonight?” He paused, before winking at me and starting to tease me. “You’re not cheating on Justin, are you?”
