It Started with "Hi." (One Direction)

Chapter 6

Chapter 6:

Kaitlyn’s POV

We danced and sang to any song that came on the radio. We talked the entire way there, we were curious. He drove us to Perkins, which just happened to be my favorite restaurant for breakfast. He pulled into the parking lot and opened up the passenger’s door.

“I hope you like it here.” Liam said, “I’ve heard they have amazing breakfasts!” He winked at me. My heart melted and I blushed.

“I love this place!” I exclaimed, “It’s my favorite place to come for breakfast!” Liam looked surprised again. ‘Was this a good thing?’ I thought to myself. He escorted me to entrance of the Perkins and walked to the Host’s desk.

“Hi, I made a reservation for two. The name’s Liam” he spoke to the Host. The Host’s eyes lit up. He recognized who he was but kept his mouth shut.

“Oh, there you are. It’s been a busy morning. Good thing you made a reservation!” The Host said. He highlighted Liam’s name, crossing it off of the reservation list. The Host grabbed two breakfast menus and lead us to our booth.

Our waitress came up to our table and introduced herself. “Good morning! My name is Kelsey and I will be serving you two on this fine morning!” said the waitress with a huge smile on her face. I figured she was a big fan of One Direction. I didn’t mind other Directioners being around, but I was hoping Liam and I could be alone for a little while.

“Nice to meet you.” Liam and I said in unity. I giggled, and he smiled at me.

“While you two look over the menu, can I take an order for your drinks?” Kelsey suggested.

“I’ll have water please.” I said. I know, I’m a pretty bland person I guess.

“I’ll have the same.” He said. Kelsey smiled, nodded, and then walked away.

“You look absolutely stunning right now.” Liam told me. I couldn’t help but melt on the inside. My cheeks flushed a soft rose.

“Thank you. I’ve really never been called stunning before. Well, besides from Alyssa.” I smiled.

“Here are your waters.” Kelsey said, slightly interrupting our conversation. She placed our glasses onto our table and then took our orders. Liam and I ended up ordering the same meal; eggs, turkey bacon, and a side of toast. We both giggled as she walked away.

“So, how about we get to know each other a little better? We each ask a question and then both respond at the same time, to see if we have anything in common!” he suggested.

“That’s a great idea!” I replied. Liam gave me those ‘You go first’ eyes and I sighed, thinking of what to ask. I needed something easy.

“Okay, um, favorite food?” I asked.

“Cheeseburgers.” We said in sync. I looked at him, surprised. He returned the same look. We both laughed.

Then it became Liam’s turn. Once he was about to ask our waitress came and placed our meals on the table. We both thanked her and took a bite out of our eggs. “Favorite American restaurant?” he asked after swallowing.

“Applebee’s” I responded in a heartbeat. Applebee’s has always been my favorite since I was little.

“No way. Me too!” he said. I almost dropped my fork but caught it at the last second.

“Favorite color?” I asked.

“Purple!” We both said at once for a second time.

“Least favorite thing?” he asked.

“Sushi! Yuck.” I said. I laughed and Liam laughed with me.

“Same as you!” He said with excitement.

“Well, we have a lot more in common than I thought we would.” Liam said, dazing into my eyes. I let out a giggle, then blushing a bright pink in embarrassment. We even both love Disney movies! We both couldn’t believe how much we have with each other. We both finished our meals and called the waitress over. As I grabbed my wallet out to pay for my meal, Liam stopped my hand and handed Kelsey the Guest Check Holder with the money to pay for the meal, along with a tip.

“Thank you, Liam, but you didn’t have to pay for me.” I said, wishing I would’ve paid.

“I know that, but I wanted to pay for you.” He said, acting as a gentleman. I smiled and we both reached out our hand to each other, letting our fingers intertwine. He escorted me to his car and he drove me off back to my house. We sang along with the radio the whole way home.

“This was an amazing morning. Thank you Liam.” I said, as he parked in my house’s driveway.

“You’re very welcome. Thank you for accompanying me on this fine morning.” He replied with a wink. He must’ve known that it makes me melt when he does that.

“We need to do this again before you leave for another state, or country.” I said, slightly chuckling.

“Well, we are here for a few more days, how about we do something different every day? I would do more with you today but we have an interview in an hour or two that we need to get to.” He responded. Then, it happened. We both leaned in, our lips met. My lips fit perfectly into his and his fit perfectly into mine. It felt like fireworks had gone off, giving me this magical feeling. Could he be the one? We both slowly pulled back and my cheeks were a light rose. Liam smiled.

“So, I’ll see you tomorrow?” he asked me.

“Of course!” I said. Liam Payne actually wants to hang out with me? Wow, my life has changed, a lot. Liam gave me one last goodbye peck. I smiled, trying hard not to blush. I got out and shut the door. I waved as he pulled out and walked into my house in the best mood. I sighed in happiness as I plopped myself onto my bed. I leaned up and grabbed a few magazines. I began to read them.

A/N: I'm really working on this a lot more, adding more detail, making these chapters longer, and much more. After I finish this story, I have plenty more to write.
