It was just an ordinary and as uninteresting day at the café as all the others, Yuri was working a typical, boring shift. She was leaning on the side of the counter watching the clock trick, the others workers has gone home already, sometimes she asks herself why she got this job, yes she needed the pay, but she was shy when it came to other people. She sighed and watched some of the regular customers walk out, no one new ever comes in. She looked down at the counter, she sighed only half an hour left before she can go home.
The bell on the door unexpectedly made a loud jingle sound; Yuri's head litterly leapt from the sound in shock, when she was looking up she saw a girl. This girl she was new, she was small and cute; she wore a light pink shirt with a small pink cat on the corner. she had gleaming light cherry blossom hair, with crimson ribbons tied to her small pigtails and fringe, her smile was small but cute she could even see the one small tooth, her eyes, those eyes, she knew them from somewhere, they were a beautiful shade of pink-which matched her hair so well- Yuri could just get lost within those, realising her thoughts, she felt a sudden heat creep up her face, she was sure she was bright crimson and turned her head away swiftly and started to play with her own violet stands of hair.
The pink haired girl glanced up at the tall girl; the girl she saw was attractive and had violet hair and matching eye colour too, the pink girl just smiled at her and watched as she turned her head away, was she blushing, the pink girl didn't care much about it. It's cold outside and she just wanted to get a hot chocolate, she never been in the area before and felt like giving this café or coffee shop a try while she was near and passing by. The pink girl finally reached the counter and watched as the violet hair girl look back at her.
"Um...H-hello, welcome to café l-literature," She started; the girl just looked like he was having trouble talking to her. "W-what would want to order?" the girl had so much difficulty just to say that.
"Hey," The small pink haired girl started. "Can I have you to go?" she laughed at her joke, lifting one hand to her face and laughed, Yuri just blushed and turned away, knowing it was a joke, but it just came out of nowhere. "Just kidding, can I get a medium hot chocolate!" she said with her overconfident grin. Yuri just smiled at this cute small bean.
"Of course, Name?" The small pink haired girl laughed, started to lean over the counter a little bit, which just made Yuri more flushed then she was.
"It's Natsuki!" She said a little too proudly, Yuri just smiled again and started to work on her order. She noticed the girl's gaze, the girl called Natsuki was watching her work, this was ordinary for most customers, but this time it felt different to her, she was unsure to why her thoughts were interrupted when she heard Natsuki speak again, Yuri looked over and saw the girl smiling. "It's quiet around here, am I the last customer?" Yuri was unsure about this girl, Yuri was normally cut off from people and even when she works the customers never talk to her, well come to think of it a few guys from her school tried to flirt with her, they've even tried to get her number a few times. She has never been into that, well into boys that much.
"Y-yes, I do believe you are, m-most of the days here are like this," she started. "This café doesn't get many c-customers it seems." Yuri told her.
"That's a shame, this place seems great!" She said in that proud voice again, but still, Yuri didn't mind, she liked Natsuki's voice, it did sound childish, but it's cute, Yuri realised what she thought and blushed again, Natsuki noticed and grinned slightly as she watched the tall girl play with her violet hair. "Is it just you that works here?"
"N-no, this place is owned by my f-friend Monika and my...friend Sayori works here too they just went home." Yuri told her in her tried confidence.
"Only three people work here?!" The girl said quite shocked, but she returned quickly. "Not like I care" Yuri was still working on her drink and sighed.
"Yes, that's true; Monika s-started this café in confidence, wanting more people to join our team to bring in more customers," Yuri stated to finish with making Natsuki's drink. "But only people from our school come in here." Yuri told her as she then placed Natsuki's drink in front of her. "That will be $3.45" Natuki had both a glad and miserable expression, did she like talking to Yuri? Did she still want to talk to her, Natuki noticed her gaze and returned quickly, her face went the same colour as her hair, she reached into her bag and pulled out the money and handed It to Yuri, after that Yuri looked back at the clock and saw that they have been talking for half an hour, It felt shorter, Yuri needed to close up, she leaned her elbows on the counter and rested her head on her hands and blushed frantically and smiled softly, she soon looked up places her hands on her cheeks as she watched Natsuki leave and then that same bell sound went off, Yuri couldn't talk to people well, but that girl, Yuri could see though that girls act, and she knew she was certainly something special.
Yuri Started to clean up and she was both cheerful and gloomy at the same time, which was unlike her. She was confused; she didn't understand this feeling she had in her chest, she sighed and knew she liked Natsuki, but she knew she would never come back, for one of her normal days, her joyfuless, she was glad she met that girl. The bell then quickly sounded again and there she saw the pink haired girl standing in the doorway, Yuri's heart skipped a beat at the sight of the girl.
"N-Natsuki, what's wrong?" she asked.
"I was fighting myself to come back in here," she said. "Yuri, let me work here with you." She asked quickly like she trying to keep her cool, but can't, Yuri is shocked, she never told Natsuki her name, how does she know her name?
"N-Natsuki, how do you know my name?" she asked shocked, but this girls actions.
"Yuri, we go to the same school," The girl started, she looked like she was on the verge of tears. "I know this is stupid, but I didn't come in for a hot chocolate, I have this huge s-stupid..." She looked like she was going to burst from embarrassment, her face was crimson. "...Stupid crush on you at school!" she sighed as she watched Yuri go bright red and started to play with her beautiful violet hair. "I see you sit alone a lot in class, we have like maths and English together, and I think you're so smart and gorgeous and so good at everything and... I'm not!" She sighed and folded her arms. People could tell she had problems expressing feelings. "I'm friends with Sayori, she knows I like you, and so she told me where you and her work!" Natsuki looks angry and frustrated at the same time. "I...I'm sorry, your too good for me" Yuri was shocked.
"I-I don't know how to respond to this I'm sorry," She looked away to play with her hair. "I'm not too g-good for you, I'm shy and have lots of p-problems, I did notice you a few times but, I thought you were like everyone else, I have trouble talking to people, I'm sorry" she sighed and walked over. "I get off now; w-want to...go on a d-date or s-something?" She asked knowing it was only 5:30 right now.
"Y-you mean r-right now?" Yuri nodded, Natsuki Laughed and took her hand and nodded, after Yuri locked up she walked around with Natsuki, hand in hand, somehow she knows that her boring job would not be like every other with Natsuki around and working with them.
