It started off as a thunderstorm. The lightning would strike the ground, rattling the Earth. The thunder clapped so fiercely that it left a reverberation in your skull. No one was on the streets tonight.
Dogs and cats cowered under beds, children ran screaming to their parent's bedroom. And Juliet, she was looking up at the sky from her bedroom window. She liked the way that the sky looked when the lightning illuminated it. Another ray of lightning comes tearing through the Earth, and with it's light, Juliet sees something strange happening in the sky.
She can't be sure of what she saw, so she waits for the next lightning bolt. When it starts weaving through the sky, she can see what appears to be winged creatures. Many of them. They are to big to be birds, their bodies too long. They look almost... human. They seem to be fighting up in the storm cloud. The clap of thunder follows, this one louder than the rest. When the next bolt of lightning strikes, Juliet can see one of the winged creatures falling from the sky.
