When infants enter life, they are automatically oblivious to the space around them. The ones that had brought them into this world usually are as well. One might question those who decide to bring more life into this world only existent by the work of greed and judgement, some never knowing how far the new arrival will last. The world is filled with darkness, guardians attempting to protect the ones they care dearly for. Allowing others to rot in the pits of hell, that some came to name reality. A new born has no place here, innocence taking over them once their heart beats against their own chest. Oblivious to how dangerous their surroundings really are, until the world out there holds knowledge of your existence. Parents are usually the ones that hold your hand throughout your years in order to maintain your own safety, let alone their sanity.

Though a majority of kids never are able to see the light of day with their parents in their eye of sight. They become abandoned by the love and absent from those who never claimed them as their own. There is a place where ones like that appear. A home that only welcomes those without anyone with knowledge of their presence in the world. The guardians there telling us things that we didn't want to believe in the beginning. While they say that it's meant to be, that we deserve it. That I deserve it, told to me on a daily basis, same for the rest of my housemates. You start to allow their words to carve a place in your mind after a few years fly past. We never know when our time will arrive to leave, no one has been given the satisfaction of leaving here without notice. All they wanted to do was to feel the fresh breeze on their skin, to catch the scent of flowers and to feel alive for once. Those who make the attempt, never are seen in the same state as they were before making the cautious choice. That is, if they're lucky enough to even feel the common splinters from the poor wooden floor beneath the feet of us all. Though those who become absent, seem to always bring the feel of their presence known to those who are still suffering here. No one understands how, but anything will beat being alone here. Anything...

The sun shined through the curtains as those around me continued to sleep. The bright rays slowly covering the whole room, with the fact that curtains were absent from the premises. I laid in my bed, staring at the ceiling, awaiting the guardians call from down the flights of stairs. Sleep was not visible in my vocabulary. They say I've had this sort of disorder since I first arrived here. Though who would want to close their eyes for a long amount of time here? My first night consisted of muffled screams from outside. When I would have glanced around at my roommates, they seemed to not acknowledge the noises. It just goes to show exactly how many people here really care about their own lives. Though no one here really has one anymore. I sat up in my bed and started to count down the seconds to when the silent company I had in my room would turn into a stampede throughout the halls. I rubbed my eyes and stood from my bed, the cold floor beneath my feet causing my toes to curl inwards. The last second from the count down in my mind became something that I'd soon strive for, my ears picking up the sound of clicking heels against the first floor of my current home. It's quite sad when the very noises can cause a whole room to scatter in fear. The very thing occurred once the distant sound of heels were heard along the stairs, leading to the second floor. It was as if an alarm had went off, all of the girls in my room suddenly awaking from their peaceful slumber and starting to stumble around, attempting to make up for the lost time. I stretched out my limbs and walked over to the only mirror that was available in our room.
