(Sorry about any typos/misspellings ect..)"Behind you," Zoro announced, Law turned, ready to deal with the beast that was sneaking up behind him. With one swing of his sword, it collapsed in a rotting heap on the floor.
"I meant the canned ravioli but that works too," Zoro said, stepping past Law and over the zombie to get the two cans of ravioli from the shelf. That being the last of the provisions in the store, the two headed out.
"It'll be dark soon, we should find a place to sleep soon," Law noted.
"I think we can hit one more store."
"I suppose-" Law looked around, "-that one looks promising." It really didn't, but it was small. Zoro nodded and the two headed for a mini-mart with cardboard covering all the windows except the door. Zoro got to it first, peering inside the dark store.
"It's too dark to see inside," Zoro muttered. Law took his sword and tapped its hilt against the glass, they waited. Law did it once more, a little louder, again they waited. No response.
"I don't think anything is in there," Law said, unsheathing his sword. "I'll go in first,"
Law opened the door, a bell rung. Law looked up and saw the little bell barely hanging onto the door frame. Law stepped inside cautiously. He whistled, low and drawn out.If anything was in here he wanted to deal with it now rather than later. The bell rung again, Law glanced over his shoulder, it was only Zoro. Law reached into the side pocket of the backpack he carried and pulled out a flashlight. He turned it on and shone it around the room. Right in front of him was a dead body, a really, dead body, with a gaping hole in its forehead. Guess you really do just get used to the smell of rotting corpses.
He stepped over it and checked the isles. The little store had been much larger than they anticipated. There were isles on either side of them, Law could see a display of hoodies on the other side of one set of isles
"You take that side and I'll go this way," Zoro said, Law nodded.
"Don't get lost, Roronoa-ya." Zoro scoffed at Law's comment. Law went towards the isles with hoodies on the other side. He checked all the shelves, all that was left in terms of food was airheads, red vines, and chips. Law took it all and put it into his backpack. A He saw a line of fridges along the wall of the store. Water, there's gotta be water.
He checked, and there was, only a few bottles but it was enough. Law aimed his light at the other fridges. There was a single 6 pack of beer in the bottom corner.
"Zoro-ya, I found-"
The bell rung again. Law instinctively fell silent and turned off the flashlight. He looked over to the area Zoro should be and that light went out too.
They were both quiet. It had to be a person, they would have heard a zombie trying to get in. He crept towards the end of the aisle, stepping carefully.
"There's a body here, be careful," a woman's voice spoke. Law peeked around the edge of the shelf, he could see Zoro crouched behind a shelf closer to the door. There were three people, all of them were difficult to see because of the darkness of the store. But there were two women and a boy.
"Chopper, you look over there and Robin should check out this area, I'll see if there are any medicines left." The three separated, that's better. If they ran into just one of them it'll be easier to defend themselves.
