The rest of the weekend passed quickly. Elena slept with me again Saturday night and on Sunday we scrambled to get her home before my parents got back. The rest of Sunday was spent cleaning up the house and day-dreaming about this weekend with Elena. The house was cleaned up from her and I before they got home though, luckily. Monday morning was boring until I got to school.

Outside the school, there were two police cars parked in the front. Elena was standing next to one talking to the sheriff. Without a thought, I sprinted over to and as soon as I got within thirty feet of her, a police officer grabbed my arm and pulled me flat on my back. "Hey!," he shouted, "stay away from miss King-Lee! She's in the middle of a crisis!" "That's my girlfriend!," I defended, "let go of me!" I broke his grip and ran to her. "Elena!" She turned and came towards me. "Oh my god!," I questioned her when we collided and hugged, "w-what happened?!? What's wrong baby? Are you hurt?" "My... my dad, he's back," she choked up desperately. "He got outta jail.... Bailed out... He came to my house last night after you left and attacked my mom... I called the police and he left before they got there..." I had no idea of how to comfort her. I cupped her face in my hands and looked her strait in the eye. "Did he hurt you?," I just had to know. She wouldn't look at me. "No," she said, "he didn't, but he told me that he'd come back for me." "Elena," I practically shouted, "why didn't you call me? I whoul've came and been with you! Or at least I could've talked to you and calmed you down!" Elena's face was red with tears now. "I'm sorry baby," I apologized, "it's just that I love you so much and I don't want anything to hurt you ever. I'm sorry." I hugged her again. "Hey!," the police officer that tackeled me was now standing right behind me, "Parker Benson?"

The officer pulled me aside and asked to talk to me. I agreed and he walked me to the principal's office. "Well, Parker," he said, "Elena told me about her weekend. Why don't you tell me about yours?" He paused. I kept silent. "Ha ha, well, can I make a few guesses?" I nodded slightly. "Well, for starters, you and Elena walked arround town, then you agreed to mess arround at your house? Now Parker, I'm not mad at you. I was your age once too. And I'm gunna tell you this only because when I was 14, I was in this kinda sonerieo. Me and my girlfriend had it in our heads that we were gonna screw arround. She ended pregnant and now she's my wife. Don't make that mistake." I knew then that i didn't have to tell him. He already knew. "I love Elena," I stated plainly, "I'm not gonna be the man-whore that you probably think that I am. I plan on being with her for the rest of my life. What's done is done, and I don't see where as it's any of your damn bisness." This guy was really starting to piss me off. "Oh?," he spat, "well, that's exactly what I said untill she got knocked up! And the only reason that I didn't leave her was cuz her dad gave me a stern talking to and told me that if I left her, that he'd come after me and try to kill me!" I really wanted to reach over the desk and knocked him. "Ok, you know what?!," I shouted, "I don't give a shit about your damn sob story! This is my and Elena's life! I have no idea why you think that you can just but in and tell me not to sleep with my other half, but where ever you got that thought, you need to drop it like it's hot! This has nothing to do with what Elena's ngoing through right now. So, if youll excuse me, I have woman to comfort!" I was pissed! I stormed out of there and back outside. Everyone was gone. The police, the crowd, Elena, everyone. I looked at my watch, 10:43. Shit! I sprinted to forth period and slid in my seat.

At lunch, I found out that Elena had been taken into the closest police watch facility, which was 45 miles way in Denver. After school I'd have Dad drive me up there so I could stay with her. In the meantime I thought that I might as well finish up my school day.
