Chapter 4

My nerves were through the roof, it was two days after the audition and the results were out. They were posted in the main hall, it was obvious where the paper was because there was a gathering of people in one place. 

I push through the crowd, the female roles are listed separately from the males. I start at the bottom, my name doesn't appear anywhere, Brittany name is next to Maria Reynolds, I felt bad for whoever had to be Alexander Hamilton, I reach the top of the list;

Eliza Hamilton and next to it (Y/N) (L/N).

I panick, Joy surges through me, I did it. I turn around and find Rowan and Natasha smiling at me. I run up to Nat and hug her as hard as I can. 

"Guess who got the role of Lafayette and Jefferson" she says 

"No way, I am so happy for you" I congratulate her, Joy still coursing through me. 

She pulls me into a hug once more and whispers into my ear, 

"The very man who was impressed with you yesterday, is the one and only Hamilton"

I feel sudden heat creep up on my face, 

She pulls from the hug, I stand there shocked, my face burning.

"Are you ok (Y/N)" asks Rowan.

I looked up I see Nat grinning, Rowan looking at me with concern.

In a panic I run, I run past Brittany who seemed like she wanted to say something to me but I keep running until I reach the bathroom, I find an empty stall and lock myself in.

My mind is racing at all the different outcomes and actions, I only did this when I panicked bad, like when I was really panicked. Rowan was hamilton, I was Eliza, we were the leading couple in the musical, I realise that this perfect, I could get him to fall for me Hamilton style. No that would be wrong. AH what do I do, I fall to the ground slumped to the ground and cry, what to do. This isn't wrong but it isn't good either. I hear someone slump down at the other side of the stall.

"Hey girl I am sorry" Nat apologies

"It's ok you couldn't have know that I would have panicked" I say forgiving her.

"You know that oblivious boy seemed rather concerned when you ran away, I kinda left him alone to his own demises, Brittany was..." she hesitates

"Brittany was what?" I say pressing for answers and I open the door to her

"She was, well as you know she is Maria Reynolds" she says

A sudden jealousy flows through me, Maria Reynolds is the woman that Hamilton had an affair with after while he was married to Eliza. I clean my tear stained face and stomp out of the room Nat trailing me. I would surely regret doing this, but the jealousy fuels me to do it.

I reach Rowan and hug him, he initially seems confused, but he warms up to it and hugs me back. A warmth fills me, I am so happy that I almost most forget what to say.

"Nat told me that you were concerned about me and I thank you for that, But I just panicked after being given such a big role"

"Oh I am glad, but at least we're in this together" he says pulling away from the embrace. I want to hug for longer, but before I can show my gratitude. I get interrupted, this seems to be a reoccurring event, Brittany yells and stomps away. We all laugh at her reaction.

The first rehearsal was today, we were just practicing singing the songs. We all stand in a circle with our scripts. We are doing the songs one by one, we start with Alexander Hamilton.
