In Uppsala, Sweden Tabitha Johansson was tending to her rose bushes and morning glory vines in the front of her house. It was early in the morning and one of her favorite times of the day, the orange and pink sunrise was reflecting off of the creek in front of her driveway in the most beautiful of ways.
Her twin sons Clé and Nathan were just arriving at their high school so she didn't have to keep worrying about them getting into a bus wreck do to the dangerous roads out towards that way. As the dew started to evaporate she went inside and up her staircase and proceeded to walk into Nathan's room and put up his ritual gear and stacked it into a box and went into her room and put it in the closet. She laid down on her bed missing the company of her niece. She had thought Paige died when her mother was killed all those years ago, when she had found out she was alive her heart almost exploded from excitement and then she started to cry she thought her dear sister's daughter had been killed with her, but no, she was just fine. Only fine was an understatement, when she arrived at the small village in Denmark she found that her niece as expected didn't know who she was. It took a few weeks of convincing and Paige went back home with her. Then she saw Paige's scars and blue bird tattoo covering one of them. She had asked what happened and all her niece did was roll down her sleeves and cross her arms and walk quickly away. As time went on she eventually began to open up and was no longer skittish and afraid of contact. Tabitha one day observed from Nathan's bedroom door way her son and niece engaging in a simple form of spell craft. Later that evening she had went into Paige's room and asked her if she would like to become a Pagan. She happily nodded her head 'yes.'

Paige was quite an uneasy and un-confident when it came to practicing spells and charms but soon warmed up to it as she realized there was nothing to fear.

The day Paige decided to head out on her own Tabitha felt like screaming, she had her niece back after thinking she was dead for twenty five years. Now she wants to leave after only six months? She asked her, "Why do you want to leave? You've just gotten settled in here?"

"I'm not sure Auntie, it's just, I guess it's just because I've never felt like I belong here. I want you and my cousins to be safe incase somehow my adoptive parents or other cult members find or try to find me. I love each and every single one of you. I have to go." She hugged Tabitha first and gasped as Nathan hugged her tightly and let her go, she tried to hug Clé but he put his hands up like he was going to push her and backed away hurriedly. Paige just looked sadly at him and turned on her heels and left for her Jeep. Tabitha gave Clé a look of annoyance and watched him walk back into the house and up the stairs.

Back in the present Tabitha opened her eyes sat up and ventured into Paige's old room and looked around. Her niece left a majority of her belongings from her old house here on shelves and in wicker chests. There were photos of her throughout the years, journals that she kept, yearbooks, drawing books filled with art, books of varying genres, and antique glass bottles that were once used for different liquids just to name the majority of the things she kept to her name. The doorbell rang so Tabitha quickly walked downstairs to see who could be knocking at this time of hour. When she reached the door and opened it up a man with his arms behind his back. He smiled kindly at her, "Hello,"
"Hi," Tabitha responded with a tilt of her head and a nervous demeanor.

"May I ask what your business is here?"
The man's strange smile immediately straightened and he took a quick step inside with a silenced pistol pulled out from behind his back.
"What do you want with me?" She kept her hands by her side and eyes on him slowly taking steps backwards.

"I'll give you anything and I'll never tell a soul you robbed me."

The man shut the door and the last thing Tabitha laid her eyes on was the gun lifted to her face.

Paige awoke and saw that she was on her knees uncomfortably in a basement like structure. When she tried to stand she realized that her arms were fastened to the wall by tight fitting cuffs around her upper bicep near her underarms the other cuffs on her wrists. Her eyes grew larger as she remembered what had transpired last night.

"Sleep well, whore." A man flatly said to her in an unseen corner. Somewhere behind her the man she guessed spoke appeared from a doorless side room. He gazed down at her coldly and with a feeling of superiority and faced forward as he walked away towards a set of run down wooden stairs.
