New People

I sigh as I walk into my second period. Why does this day seem so long? Oh right its my first day I walk into my math class to see it already started. I might have gotten a little lost…. Ok maybe a lot lost. This stupid school is just to big. As I enter the classroom everyone looks up and stops what they're doing. ‘Hello, Can I help you?’ The teacher says looking at me ‘Um, I'm your new student Alexis…’ I walk over to him and hand him my schedule and wait for him to look it over. ‘ Welcome to my class Alexis, Tell us somethings about yourself’ And this is the part i'm dreading. Why cant I just take my seat, no one cares who I am, I'm just the new girl.

 

I roll my eyes but start anyways ‘Well I'm 17 years old, I came from California and I like to skateboard….’ and at the word skateboard I get the guys attention and by the looks of some of the girls here they aren't really tomboy like for that matter. There all in short skirts and shirts that show way too much, all in all they aren't wearing much clothing.

 

‘Thank you Alexis, any questions class?’ The teacher smiles as hands shoot up. but of course they were all guys. The teacher pointed at one boy,"Hey I'm Jake and I was wondering when i could get your number?" I was about to respond when the teacher spoke up first "Really Jake, moving on" he points at another boy ‘Hey, i'm James, and are you serious? you really do skateboard?!’ I sigh ‘Yes I do’ He narrows his eyes a little, ‘I bet you're just saying that to get all the guys’ he scuffs ‘And i bet I'm way better than you'll ever be’ I throw back at him getting some of the guys to “ohh”

 

‘Thats enough guys, no more questions, Alexis why don't you go sit by Nick’ I look away from the teacher to see a boy with his hand up and an empty chair next to him. I shrug my shoulders and walk over getting some glares and stares.

 

I sit down in the desk to see the kid nick looking at me. He smiles and holds out his hand, ‘Hey I'm Nick, nice to meet you.’ I smile back, he doesn't seem so bad… ‘Um, hey, As you heard, I'm Alexis.’ I shake his hand and pull away

 

‘What you did up there took guts, no one talks back to James.’ I shrug, ‘It was nothing, It just makes me mad that guys always think that a girl cant do the same thing as them, no offence’ he smiles "its alright." Me and Nick talk all during class and honestly hes really cool. Turns out we had two more classes together than lunch. During the classes we had together I learned that Nick has lived in Washington all his life and is the same age as me, oh and his favorite color is green, and he likes dogs, to bad I like cats better.

‘Come hang out with me for lunch’ Nick says as he pulls me towards him. ‘I don't know, I don't know any of your friends, It might be awkward...’ He smiles pulling me along ‘Then me and you can just talk, we don't need them’ He laughs and throws a wink my way smiling down at me. ‘I don't know….’ ‘Pleeeeeease!!!’ he throws me a puppy dog look and I sigh, ‘Fine!’

 

We get  to his table and I can just tell hes one of the popular people. Great. What have I gotten myself into.

‘Hey everyone this is Alexis’ Everyone looks at me and waves, smiles, or winks. I laugh a little smiling back and waving, but there's one guy with a girl **Cough* Slut *Cough* Cough** On his lap completely sucking faces, It looks like there trying to eat each others faces off.

 

‘Come on Kai! not while people are trying to eat, and come meet my friend’ The boy pulls away from the girl looking at Nick. ‘Sorry man.’ Than his eyes flicker to me and he freezes. I hope hes ok he looks a little pale… ‘Whos the slut Nick’ The girl on Kai's lap squeaks out, I choke on my own spit when she calls me a slut, like come on does she see what shes wearing!?! I roll my eyes and scuff ‘Yea, I'm the slut’ I let the sarcasm drip off my voice ‘Well you are, didn't you hear me’ She squeaks out again. ‘hun, there are a lot of sluts around here, including you, but i'm not one of them, honestly do you see what you're wearing, I mean are those even considered clothes??’ she glares at me turning to the guy kai, ‘Babe, she called me a slut!’ he snaps out of his daydream and glares at me standing up.

‘I think you need to apologize to my girlfriend.’ ohhh, his girl friend, well we know what shes there for. I roll my eyes ‘Sorry not sorry, your “girlfriend” just called me a slut and either you need to control her or find a new whore to suck faces with’ I smirk at him as I hear the “Oohs” Behind me Kai glares and grabs the sluts hand and says ‘Lets go babe’ She sticks out her tongue and walks away. Nick looks at me, "I think your going to fit in just fine here" I look at the other guys and see them nodding there heads. 

I smile "Yea me too" I think this day is going better than I thought....
