Rosalyn's p.o.v
As we slowly made our way to the sleeping chambers, Laxus kept asking questions and all he got was a nod, shake of the head, or a shrug from me. I didn't exactly feel ready to talk yet so that was all I could do for now. "So what's your name?" Laxus asked but then sighted as he only got a blank stare as a response. He went silent like he was disappointed and was on the verge of giving up. I just kept looking at him then answered "Rosalyn..." in a very soft, low voice that it was barely heard. Laxus looked at me wide eyed and I could feel that Max was looking at me like Laxus was too. "Can you say that again? But a little louder?" Laxus asked so I repeated myself but a little louder. "Rosalyn." Laxus just stood there shocked but then smiled down at me. I looked up at him then I felt the corner of my mouth smiling ever so slightly which only seemed to make him smile even more. I just shook my head and tugged on his hand a little making him walk by my side. We soon made it inside the sleeping quarters and I was set down onto a bed. "Take off your cloak." Max commanded as he stood in front of me as Laxus stood on my side. I closed my eyes and dropped my head as I slowly took off my cloak. I was wearing a black spaghetti V neck strap tank top that showed my back. I heard them both gasp as they saw the scars on my back, arms, neck, and chest. I had a tattoo on my collar bone. It was a wolf that faded out into feathers on its back. Next to it laid a giant scar about 7 inches going from the side of my neck down the side of my tattoo and ending in the middle of my boobs. I couldn't look at them so I just kept my head down. I was just too ashamed to even bare to look at them. Max came up to me and tried to touch me but I just jerked away quickly. Max stepped aside and Laxus came up to me next. He squatted down so we were eye level but I didn't look up. My bangs were shadowing my eyes. "Rosalyn... Who did this to you?" Laxus sayed in a gentle voice as he took a piece of my bangs and moved it out of my eye sight. I saw his reaction from him seeing the scar that goes over my left eye but for some reason I didn't flinch away like I did when Max did. Laxus put his hand on the left side of my face as he lifted my head so I was looking at him. "Rosalyn..." was all Laxus said as I felt my eyes start to watery. I grabbed his hand with one of mine and leaned into his touch as I closed my eyes. I felt another hand on my shoulder knowing it was Max I closed my eyes tighter. I felt movement on the side of my face so I opened my eyes only to see Laxus' stormy gray eyes looking at me in acknowledgment as he slowly moved his thumb across my cheek and stopped when it reached my scar. Laxus just stared at me and I stared back. I reached my hand up to his face and did the same he was doing to me but when I reached his scar I just lightly traced his scar. I felt his thumb start to trace my scar like I was him. "Rosa. Who gave you all of these scars?" Laxus asked again but this time I looked him straight in the eyes. "The people who killed my parents. They captured me and beat me. They trained me to become a assassin. If I didn't do well I get beat even worse and everyday I get beat. They said it was to make me immune to pain." I said in a low whisper. Laxus and Max looked at me shocked. Laxus stopped tracing his thumb over my scar and I gave him a strange look. He loomed like he was remembering something. He then loomed sho ked when he saw my face. "Wha?! Why are you crying?!" Laxus asked as he started to freak out. I just looked at him like he was crazy. "What are you talking about?" I said wondering what he was talking about. He looked confused so he grabbed my hand and put it to my face. When my finger tips touched my face they became moist. I pulled my hand back and looked at my fingers. They were wet. "Wha? What is this? " I whispered to myself as I kept wiping my tears off my face. Laxus gave me a strange look. "What? Haven't you cried before? " He asked as he looked at me like I was crazy. "Actually no. I haven't. At least not for a very long time. They turned me emotionless during my training. I haven't felt love, happiness, pain, or anything like that. All I really feel is hatred and rage." I answered truthfully as I looked up at him. He looked down at me with pity and shook his head. "No one is supposed to go through the things you have. How do you stay strong?" Laxus said as he got onto his knees in front of me and looked up at me. "I don't know. After a while I guess I just got used to it instead of getting sick of it. I hated it but I wad used to it." I said as I look down at him. He shook his head and wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his head into my stomach. I felt my shirt on my stomach getting wet. I looked down at him and felt the urge to hug him so I did. I hugged his head closer to my stomach and ran my fingers through his hair. "Its okay. Let it all out." I said and said soothing words to him as he cried in my stomach.
