"Gross, what kind of candy is this?" I questioned seeing the pile of dollar store lollipops mixed with small weirdly wrapped candies. I stuck my hands further into the dashboard of the car until I found a blue dum dum. I took off the wrapper, pushed it into my back pocket and began sucking on it. As promised, Dick Grayson, now Dick, let me sit in the passenger seat with out handcuffs if I behaved myself.

"The one time I'm stuck in traffic and it's with you" He fixed his mirror to see the many cars lining up behind us. He wasn't the only one in a bad mood, I had left all my belongings back in the park and Nightwing probably got his grimy hands on it already. But if I was being honest, traffic was a blessing. Being with him in this car for longer was something I didn't know until now that I craved.

"Aw come on, don't act like you don't like it" I joked sitting up in my seat, the dum dum being crushed under my gums letting slight cracks out my mouth. He kept his eyes on the beeping cars instead of paying attention to me. "Hey! Talk when you're spoken too, Dick" I used my hands to snap at him. Him giving me the silent treatment was annoying considering that it felt like I was talking to myself.

"Don't call me that, I told you plenty of times already, Rory" He looked over at the lit up screen on the computer installed next to his steering wheel, showing that no problems were happening in this city. He was opening his mouth to say something before I cut him off. Him saying my real name wasn't fitting for me, it made my dum dum go sour for me.

"Don't call me that; It's Lolita" I mocked biting harder into my dum dum. The hard candy echoed through the car. "Rory just seems so, so" I paused, thinking of reasons why my own name bothers me so much. It sounded like an acronym for roar and lord knows how awful that sou-

"It just isn't me okay" I added flailing my hands into the air. I pressed my finger onto the window button to have it opened and spat out the clean stick from my lollipop out. Dick, already knowing I won't listen said nothing about my actions and instead cautiously turned on the radio. A second later he closed the window, probably thinking I was going to jump out.

The overplayed song tuned into the car leaving us both sitting there in the dark shadows, the car moving inch by inch at some points. Other times, it seemed they were creating music with all the Goddamn beeping they made. Bored, I shifted in my seat. I lifted a leg to go over the middle of the chairs to make it to the back. But just as I began crawling in, Dick just had to make a sharp brake as he inched closer.

I went flying into the back and let out a small squeal of surprise when my head made contact with the rough leather seats. I furrowed my eyebrows and grabbed the blue weapon Dick had thrown behind here.

"You bastard" I screamed hitting Dick on the shoulder with the object rather hard. He ow-ed unexpectedly and forced the blue stick out of my hands, leaving them pink. He hid it under his chair and plopped back uncomfortably on his seat, his elbow now propped on the window sill with his chin between the spacing of his thumb and pointer finger.

"I should just open this damn door and walk myself home" I grunted spreading myself across the whole back seat, twirling my hair so it laid sprawled on the seats. The leather beneath me cooled my body down

"Please be my guest" Dick glared at me. In annoyance, I jumped towards the front and grabbed onto his badge that was placed in clear sight.

"Give me that back" He had enough and began swaying his arms towards my hands. I kicked his arms away and looked at his badge. Richard John Grayson. Cute name, I thought. Sounds very old though.

"Aren't you a little young to be an officer?" I asked Dick. 21 was indeed young in my opinion, but hey I see 18-year-olds sometimes as police officers so who am I to talk. I looked closely at his ID photo. Man do I want a copy. This one was different from the one on the police website.
