Chapter 1: Gift Buying

I hurriedly went to Google and typed: Conor Delvy.

A bunch of search results popped up and I immediately clicked Google Images. I just stared and looked for images that could possibly become my wallpaper or profile pic.

Ang gwapo niya talaga!! Hayss.... sana talaga makilala kita....

Tinuloy ko lang ang pagstalk sa kanya at pagtingin sa mga latest news tungkol sa kanya.

But I was immediately interrupted by my annoying ringtone which only meant that someone is calling me.

I quickly glanced at the caller ID and rolled my eyes when I finally saw who it was.

It was my best friend, Ashley Yandell.

I lazily reached for my phone and answered the call.

"OMG LILY!!!" Sigaw ni Ashley. I immediately moved my phone away from my ear. My eardrums could've been badly damaged!

"PSH! Siguraduhin mo lang na maganda ang sasabihin mo! I was stalking Conor when you suddenly interrupted me, so this better be good!" Sabi ko.

"Oo bes! Sobrang gandang news nito!!" Sabi niya naman.

"Just cut to the chase and tell me what it is already!!"

"Okay...okay.... wait..." Sabi niya na parang hinahabol pa ang kanyang hininga.

Tinuloy ko lang ang pagscroll down sa aking laptop at patuloy na naghahanap ng magandang picture ni Conor.

"Okay... here it goes... so basically...." Pagsisimula niya. I waited patiently but she didn't continue what she was saying.

"ANO NA BA KASI YUN ASHLEY?!! MAY PA SUSPENSE-SUSPENSE KA PA KASI EH!!"

"Oo nga eto na...." Sabi niya ulit pero hindi parin niya sinabi yung news.

"ASHLEY SABI KO_____"

"LILIPAT SI CONOR SA SCHOOL NATIN!!!"

My hands stopped from scrolling down Google and I think I almost dropped my phone sa sobrang gulat.

"A-ano...?" Tanong ko.

"I said he's moving to our school!!" Sabi niya.

Hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili kong tumili ng sobrang lakas. Nabitawan ko pa yung cellphone ko pero bumagsak lang ito sa kama ko kaya okay lang.

Kasunod nun ang malakas na katok sa pintuan ng kwarto ko.

"ANAK!! Okay ka lang ba dyan??" Tanong ni mama.

Napatakip bigla ako sa bibig ko.
