Chapter 19 TV Time

Chelsea-

When in Hollywood everything goes by twice as fast. I’m back again this time I’m staring as Savannah Clearwater. She’s the only girl at Jake Myers school, Preston Heights High, who isn't head over heels for Jake Myers, captain of the sports teams, class genius, and played by Gavin Blackwell himself. Synopsis, in a "junior class experiment" as Jake calls it. Jake and Savannah become partners, the whole plan welded by Jake so he could have a chance to get the new girl to like him, to see if she’s any different from the other kids at his school. She’s still trying adjust to her new life in a new city, but it’s not as if she hasn’t done it before. Make new friend. This Jake supposedly created plan pairs up boys and girls as boyfriend/girlfriend for the whole year to see who’s compatible.

 

Jake: “Savannah Clearwater?” he ask, I look up from my book and watch him.

Savannah: “Yes,” I ask putting the bookmark into my book and putting it into my bag. “Who are you?” I gather my things to head to class.

Jake: “I’m Jake,” He answers. He holds out a hand for me to shake

Savannah “Jake, Jake who?” I ask skirting around him, or try to; he steps in front of me.

Jake: “My name’s Jake Myers.” He says pulling back his hand and stuffing it into his pocket

Savannah: “Oh, Jake Myers, the jock with all the girls fawning over him,” I answer feigning amusement, “Nice to know who I have to avoid.”

Jake: “I’m your partner for the junior class project.” He tells me with a sigh.

Savannah: “I’m sorry?” I ask, “It’s my first day. I have no idea who you are or what you’re talking about.” I begin to walk past him, “I’m late for chemistry. If you will excuse me, I’m going to leave.”

Jake: “The junior class partakes in an experiment each year. Each girl and boy in the junior class up for the year. You filled out a survey form about you right? Guess what?” I stay silent so he continues, “I’m your match.”

Savannah: “I’m sorry,” I answer, he looks as if he’s going to continue because he thinks I’m confused, “Find yourself another girlfriend. I have a life that you couldn’t even imagine. I don’t have the time for a boyfriend.”

I turn and walk off set.

 

“CUT!” The director calls, “Classroom Scene in fifteen.”

“Chels, you were awesome.” Austin says in greeting to me, Gavin walks up to us, “So what do you think so far?”

“It’s okay, but I think the school field trip to Sweden for this series will be great. It’s going to be so cool.”

“It’s not a school field trip you know. It’s a family vacation for the Clearwaters and the Myers.” Gavin says, “After Savannah finally realizes what a great guy Jake is, and that he’s not as terrible as she originally thought.”

“Chels, Gavin.” The stage manager calls, “Needed on set 7 for lighting.”

“That’s our que for our Chem scene.” Gavin says taking his leave.

“I'll see you in a bit. It’s our last scene for the day. We can go get dinner.” I give Austin a quick hug before heading to set 7 for the last scene.

 

Teacher: “Mr. Myers you are late to class again.” He says as Jake/Gavin races on set. He motioning for Jake to take him seat, “I would appreciate if you would arrive to class on time. You have yet to arrive to first period on time.”
