Chapter Fifteen

Caden's Pov

"SERENITY!" I screamed, knowing that was her. I cursed myself for leaving her side for a second and ran to the site.

When I got there I didn't like what I saw. I saw Kobie with Serenity by the hair, and a knife to her neck. Lillie was crying into Levi, and Levi looked utterly defeated. Kobie then noticed I was there.

"Oh! Hello, the groups all here! Wonderful!" Kobie laughed.

"Let her go!" I called. In responce, he raised his eyebrosw and pulled her hair more, making her yelp.

"Well, when I asked her weather she's rather you or her die, she said herself. When I asked who she'd rather have tortured, she said herself. When I asked who she'd rather me kidna, she said herself. So, she overrules you." He taunted.

"Serenity! Did you really...?" I asked.

"Yes. I love you, Caden. I love the way we're able to finish each other sentances, that we'll never give up on each other. I love how I feel complete when I'm by your side. You actually put effort into  me. And so many other reasons I probably can't say. I know that when I'm gone, you'll find someone else." She said. Kobie looked frozen for a moment, as if this was too overwhelming.

"Now Kobie. I know who you are. You're my brother. No need for the disguise anymore." She said, trying to look at him. He sighed and rolled his eyes, morphing into the guy I recognised from my visions.

"Oh it feels wonderful to be myself again! Oh and Lillian, thanks for being a good actress. I won't tell them." he said, smirking.

Lillie collapsed, crying.

"I'll tell them myself if you don't let her go!" She sobbed.

"Oh! Like I care. I have what I came for. Bye now!"  He said, waving with the hand in Serenity's hair. He then shouted what I believe to be a spell, and they dissiapered.

"LILLIE WHAT THE LITERAL HELL" I screamed, "YOU DIDN'T TEL US THAT MACE WAS HERE TO PROTECT YOURSELF? THAT'S YOUR BESTFRIEND! MY GIRLFRIEND AND SHE'S...." I collapsed onto the ground beside her, then wrapped my arms around her. "Lillie... I'm sorry I just... She's gone...." I choked on a sob.

Levi sat beside us, and he too hugged Lillie. We just lost Serenity, the skies were dark and still. There was no wind. She was too far away to affect the weather here anymore.

"Lillie, I know what he was going to say... and I'm sorry. I feel horrid for not seeing it earlier. I-" Levi started, but everything was silent for me. I got up, and started running. I ran for I don't know how long, and all I know is that I ended up at the top of Serenity's tree, looking.

Because if I know my girlfriend, I know she'll call for help using the weather. I also read the note Mace had left her this morning.

They're still in camp.
