It was just like any other normal day walking back home from work after a long day. It was then that I saw a handsome young man sitting at the park bench that I walk by everyday, he was looking downcast but... I was just too shy to talk to him. You see, I'm not too fond about talking to strangers; and, well, he was just that: a stranger. Was it shyness or something else? I felt a sort of danger radiating off of this man. But then again, maybe I was just being paranoid after my long shift. So of course I just ignored him and walked towards my home, hoping that the man would be alright.
I lived with my family, it was a decent sized family. My mother, father, two younger brothers, grandmother and uncle in a small 5 bedroom house. It was small but cozy...besides the constant arguing that used to happen. Every. Single. Day.
As soon as I got home; I took a nice long shower, played a few games with my 16 year old and 5 year old brothers, watched some episodes of my favourite show; Gotham, and went straight to bed.
The next day I woke up bright and early as usual, 7AM! Don't get me wrong, I loved the early morning sunrise but I just hated getting out of my warm bed into the cold Antarctic that existed just outside my blanket. I mean who doesn't? I hate the cold but I love the snow. It was getting chilly as it was mid October now, my birthday was in a couple of days, the 18th! I was so excited but then again, what was I gonna do? It's not like I had any friends to go out with or a boyfriend to spend it with. I had absolutely no plans at all! Isn't that sad, heheh. As any other day, I did my usual morning routine of putting on my socks and watching the beautiful, magnificent colours of the sky followed with getting up and finishing whatever I needed to do in the toilet, then putting my clothes and makeup on. It was just like any other boring, normal day. I was kinda getting sick of it. Life was just too... normal. I wanted a change.
Why couldn't my life be more fun and interesting like that in a book or a movie? Every time I watch an amazing, epic movie in the cinema and it's over I just sit there not wanting to get up and being upset about why it was over. I wanted the journey to continue, and when I get up to go home and how I wish that it was me in that movie! Being a hero, having super powers and the like, saving everyone I can. But that's just in movies.
It's not real...
Following my routine, I went downstairs and made breakfast for everyone, we ate together, me having started before everybody else, with a few arguments here and there at the table before I washed up my plates; put on my boots and walked to work. I had a car and I could drive but I preferred walking, I loved feeling the cool winter breeze and strolling through the empty park. Not many people go out to walk now that the weather is so cold, plus, my workplace wasn't that far anyway. On the way, I was shocked to find the same guy there on the same bench, in the same clothes looking down. I didn't like sticking my nose in other people's lives but I wanted to make sure that the man was okay- so of course I went over to him and bent down in front of him looking up at his face. To my surprise, he was asleep. I didn't want to just leave him there but I was getting late to work. And I didn't want to meddle in his affairs so I continued on my way to the office, not able focus all day at work as my mind kept wondering towards that stunning man that had been out in the park sleeping.
