"Why do you hide?" He asks in a teasing manner, the corners of his lips upturning slightly.

"Hide from what?" I shot back in the same tone, attempting to avoid his question.

"Let me rephrase myself." He says stepping closer, his amber eyes staring right through me.

"Who are you hiding from?" He asks, all playfulness leaving his tone and features.
