All These Years

Hey guys,
my name is Shay. You may have read some of my Gastina one-shots on my tumblr shayghafa.tumblr.com or on my twitter @/joelsbernas. I decided to do one more, this time not a Gastina one-shot but an Aguslina one. I'm going to keep shipping them, no matter what happens. During the story, little parts of what happened between them will be mentioned. It will probably leave you with a few questions, but I leave it up to you to fill it in for yourselves. There are different theories about what happened between Agustín and Carolina, but there's one thing we can all agree on: there was something between them. It was present in everything they did, their chemistry was something that reached far beyond the screen. It makes me sad to think that we won't get to see that anymore. Life can be unfair sometimes. That's why I decided to write this for all of you guys. I would like to dedicate this to all of you Aguslina shippers out there who feel like all hope is lost. There is one message in this that I would like to tell you, so read until the end.

You don't realize what you have until it's gone. That's what most people forget. We take things for granted, but don't realize it can be taken from us as easily as it was given to us. We're always waiting for things to get better and to have more, not realizing that maybe, just maybe, all we ever needed was right in front of us all along.

That was a thought that ran through Agustín's mind more times than he could count. It was the cause of him not being able to sleep at night and the reason he would drink until he forgot.

But not tonight, as tonight he had to be strong. He had to. For them. For all of his fans that loved and supported him. He had to walk a carpet, put on a fake smile, pose for pictures, do interviews, and go up on stage to perform. Even though he didn't feel like it today, Agustín's love for music was stronger than anything in the world. Singing made him forget and feel things at the same time. It made him forget about the stupid things he had done, but there was one thing it couldn't make him forget, and that was her.

He couldn't forget about her even if he wanted to. He had tried too many times, and failed miserably. How could he? After all they had been through, the memories they had made, and the future they had planned together. It had all fallen apart.

Sometimes he wondered if it was all his fault, that if he had just made another decision, their story would've taken another turn. He thought he had made the right decision, she had told him so. She had even helped him to make that decision. Then why did he regret it so much? Choosing to pursue his career as a musician, to form MYA together with Maxi, who was like a brother to him, meant he had to make sacrifices. He had to leave behind the people he had called his second family for over two years of his life. Being on Soy Luna had left him with the most incredible friends someone could possibly wish for. After all, it had left him with her.

The sound of fans cheering shook Agustín out of his thoughts. He looked out of the car window to find at least a dozen of fans waving at him, their phones hold up in a hope to catch a picture of him. He waved at them.

"More and more every year," he heard Maxi say next to him.

"Yeah, it's crazy," Agustín replied. It really was crazy how many people showed up for the KCA's. Secretly he hoped she would be here tonight, but seen his chances, luck wasn't on his side when it came to her.

"Agustín! Maxi!" photographers yelled.

The flashes of the camera were bright enough to blind Agustín. Good thing he was used to it by now. One thing he could never get used to though, was posing for pictures. He never knew what to do with his hands. He looked at Maxi next to him, who was posing like he was born to be a model. Agustín shook his head as he tried to hide his discomfort. He walked a little further onto the carpet, and that's when he saw her.
