"Come down for breakfast! You're gonna be late!" my mom yelled. "Coming!" I said. I checked in the mirror one last time before sliding down the stair rail. I grabbed a bagel and my keys and was out the door. When I got on the bus, it was packed. There was only one empty seat. I sat down and looked over at the person sitting next to me. He had brown hair and was wearing a simple blue t shirt and jeans. "Hi. You don't mind me sitting here, right?" "No. It's no problem." said the boy. "I'm Noah." "I'm Val. Short for Valerie." I replied. The bus pulled up to the next stop, and a boy approached our seat. "Noah!" He said. "Nice to see ya again. Who's the new girl?" "That's Val." Noah replied. "Sit down." The boy had curly black hair and freckles. I have to admit, I don't really fall for people easily, but his boy was a cutie. "I'm Finn." He said. Finn. Nice. I told them about my life on the ride and they told me about theirs. They're really interesting. Finna asked about my family, but luckily the bus pulled up to the school. Before I headed to class, Finn grabbed my wrist. "You're new. So you probably don't have a place to sit." I nodded. "Come join me and my friends at lunch. We'll wave ya over." I nodded. He let go of my wrist and headed class. I rubbed that wrist for the rest of the day till lunch.
