It was a Monday morning, oddly enough, my entire family was sleeping. it was 10:38 AM when I decided to get out of bed. Throwing the blankets off of me, a chill shoots down my spine as the cool morning air rubbed against my exposed flesh. I take my right leg and swing it off my bed followed by my left foot, soon both feet simultaneously touched the cold hardwood flooring of my room. Standing up, I adjust my pajamas and walk out of my room. As i trotted to the living room, it was empty. There was no sign of the chair my mother usually slept on. No table we played cards. Not even the old rug that constantly tripped my siblings and me. Scared, I decided to look in some other rooms, each one was empty. Finally, I approached my parents room. I was always told not to go in, so I obeyed... Until that day.

the door creaked open revealing the horrible truth. Again the room was empty, void of all furniture. All but 5 things were gone from the house. My bed in my room, and the rest of my family. There they were, laying in the middle of the room, piled on top of each other, stained in red while omitting a fowl odor and a sense of gloom and sorrow. I fell to my knees and cried over the cold bodies laying before me.
