Draco Malfoy x reader

(A/N you are in Hufflepuff and second year)

"Ms. (L/N), are you paying attention?" Professor Snape drawled. I gulped and looked up from my cauldron, full of my failed shrinking potion, to see Snape's dark eyes boring into my own.
"Uh, uh yes I- I am pro-Professor Snape." I stuttered, potions was my worst subject and I was terrified of Professor Snape. I'm a muggleborn, and in Hufflepuff, so Snape thinks of me as inferior.
"Well then, let's see how that shrinking potion worked then, now what shall we test it on?" He inquires as he looks around the classroom. He suddenly smirks and looks at me as I gulp.
"Well, how about you, are you confident enough in you potion to try it?" He says menacingly. I feel my face go pale and my throat go dry, potions was always difficult for me, and I knew I made this one incorrectly.
"Why don't you just leave her alone Severus?" A voice sounds across the room. As I turn to see my savior, I am surprised to see none other than the Slytherin prince himself. I feel my cheeks grow warm as I begin to blush. I began to develop feelings for him at the beginning of this year. I see him make eye contact with me, his bright green orbs starring intently into my (E/C) eyes. I turn my face away, but not before I saw the light pink blush dusting across the bridge of his nose.
"Why did he blush? Is it possible he returns my feelings?" I think as I feel my blush grow darker.
"Draco, perhaps you have forgotten who you are talking to, but no matter I will let slide this time." Snape said to his star student. I look at Draco, begging him with my eyes to intervene and save me. He looks at me and sees the desperation in my eyes. He turns to Snape with a new look of confidence on his face.
"No Severus, I've had enough of you picking on her. You will stop this immediately or my father will hear about this! Now if you excuse us." Draco says as he grabs my arm and drags me down to the Slytherin Common Room.
-small time skip-
I look at Draco as he begins to pace, sometimes sneaking glances at me. A thought pops in my head, and it's a question I forgot to ask.
"Why?"
"What?" Draco says, stopping his pacing to stare at me.
"Why'd you do it? Why'd you stand up to Snape for me? I'm just a dumb Hufflepuff." (I swear if I see a single comment saying this is true, I'm going to call you out, cause you aren't.) I say looking down. I feel someone grab my face. I raise my eyes to see Draco staring down at me.
"Now, you and I both know that isn't true. You are not just a 'dumb Hufflepuff'. You are an intelligent, caring, beautiful human being that I wish would notice that I'm in love with them!" Draco tells before realizing what he said. My eyes go wide as Draco backs away from me, apologizing profusely. I get up slowly and walk over to him.
"(Y/N) I am so sorry, I didn't mean for that to slip out! We can forget it ever happened and just be friends if you want." I roll my eyes and seal his lips with mine in a kiss. I feel him tense up, but after a couple seconds he begins to kiss back. I smile into the kiss, glad that I was kissing my crush. After what felt like an eternity, we broke apart panting.
"Wow, just wow." Draco says breathlessly, looking at me with wide eyes. I smile at him, hugging him.
"I like you too" I whisper in his ear, feeling his sigh of relief. He pulls back and tucks a stray strand of my (H/L) (H/C) begins my ear.
"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that." He says quietly.
"So does this mean we're together?" He asks after a moment of silence. I smile at him before responding.
"About time you asked." I said and kissed my wonderful new boyfriend.
