DANGEROUS LOVE

CHAPTER 1

One thing I can tell you about being an orphan is that it's not easy, no I didn't put it right, it's hard as hell. But it got to be easy for me when I went and lived with my foster parents at the age of 13,they loved me like I was their own, I was their child in their eyes and heart.

Then that accident happened and took what was most precious to me,it took the only people I ever loved in my life and now I'm all alone now.But I'm not complaining at all, I guess it was their time then.Now I'm eighteen years and heading to New York to make my dreams come through, although I never finished high school I know I'll make this one dream come true.

An so I went and lived in the world of the rich and famous, the world that can make or break you. The world of my dreams where I know I can make a dream come true.

I didn't know a soul there,but I went instead and the first thing I did was look for a flat in Queens towns with the little money they left me.
I'm welcomed by a lady in her middle age who looks like the years have went by so raugh on her.She looks so weak like she doesn't have any life left in her,she's as old as the building we are standing in..
It also looks grey with the paint too old.

"We have about 24 flats and the only ones that are available are about 5 of them."She says with a rather low voice.

"You can have room number 23 , it is the only one that doesn't have problem with electricity. "She continues saying.

"If you say so,but how much will it cost? "I ask the old lady.

"Everything you need to know is in the contract, you can tell me when you finish reading it and tell me what you have decided. "

"Thank you again Mrs Alba, I'll get back to you later on."I sincerely tell her as she walks me to the flat I will be vacating for the next few months if possible.

After Mrs Alba leaves my flat , I decide to make myself at home as I read the contract that was given to me.The flat is not so bad itself, it has a kitchen that is combined with the sitting room and a bedroom with a small bathroom besides it.The view is actually an eyesore, all you can see is a group of gangsters in every corner. Not my ideal kind of place to live in.

The next morning when I was done solving some of the problems with the living arrangements of the contract, I decided to go find a job so I can be able to pay for my flat.

So I went to the nearest cafe that caught my eyes the moment I got here,it's called Maxin's. I hope they will be able to hire me because I desperately need this job.That moment I get into the cafe,I'm welcomed by a warm smile from a girl I believe works here because she's uniformed.

"Hey,I'm kimberly but my friends call me Kim."She says gracefully and energetically.

"I'm Amber,I'm new in the hood and I'm looking for a job."I say to her.

"Wait here I'll go call the manager. "She simply says before going away from me.

She is the most energetic person I've ever met, and she's also kind.I hope the manager is as kind as her.
After what seems like forever, Kimberly comes back with a tall guy , he has dark hair and a smile that could light up any other dark day.He's really good looking.

"Hi, I'm Ethel the manager. "And he has the voice of a goddess.

"I'm Amber,and I'm looking for a job,anything would do for me as long as it pays."I say with a high voice.

"We are short of stuff right now, so I could say you came at the right time.Kim will show you how things work, welcome to Queens town and welcome to Maxin's. "He says swiftly and he walks back to the office I assume.

Everything is working out as I had planned,it looks like New York wasn't a bad idea after all. After the long day at my first day at work I decide to walk home on my own since Kim had somewhere to go.

As I'm walking to the corner of my building a black car stops besides me and my heart wants to leap out of my chest.The front window slides down and reveals a man in his late thirties, he has the most scariest smack on his face. Another guy in his late twenties I think is sitting beside him and focusing on his phone.

"Hello gorgeous, I haven't seen you here before. Are you new?"The strange guy asks me.

"That's non of your business. "I say bravely.

"She a feisty one,me like."He says with an annoying smile while looking at his friend who seems to not be interested in me because he's still looking at his phone.

"Are you OK Amber?"A voice besides me says and when I look at the person I find Ethel standing there.

"Ethel to the rescue."The guy in the car says,clearly they know each other.

"Stay away from her Selton, she's not like one of your girls."Ethel defence me,if I could say so.

"I never said she was,I was just admiring her beauty."He says and his friend finally looks in my direction, god he's good looking, better than Ethel if I may say.

"Let's go Amber."Ethel pulls me away from them and into my building swiftly.
