A New Beginning

Black clouds circled around the squad. Hope found himself in the chaos of the battle, all alone, with no one to aid him. Lightning struck all around the forest floor and canopy. A man riding a giant snake tore apart everything around him, inching closer and closer to him. With a sudden blink, a flash of lightning came rushing toward him. The only thing he saw was a man with jet black hair and red eyes before everything went white.

"AHHHHHH!" Hope woke up screaming and shaking. Looking around his spacious room, he looked at his clock, 6:30. With a sigh, he woke up and changed out of his pajamas and changed into black and white robes. "I guess I should get ready for testing day at the academy. Just another day in the Hidden Sand Village." Getting up from his bed, he moved to his closet and grabbed his school shoulder bag that held his school work and scrolls on jutsus that was given to him by his parents. Hope grabbed a bowl of cereal and proceeded to continue to the academy. On his way to the academy, he decided to stop by his friend Trinity's house and see if she was getting ready for school. Walking up to her two story home, he enters her home calling her name.

"Hey Trinity! Are you in here?" Hope yelled. Hearing the door open behind him, he turned and saw a slim figure appear through the door. Trinity moved her black hair out of her eyes and smiled at Hope, giving a slight giggle.

"Well if it isn't my favorite person in the world! How have you been Hope!" Trinity moved toward Hope embracing him in a tight hug and tussling his light orchard color hair. "Did you come all this way just to see me?"

"Trinity, you should know by know that i always come by your house so we can walk to the academy together! So are you ready for our exam?" Trinity nodded and smiled.

"Wait right here Hope, I need to get changed and then we can head to academy." A few moments later, Trinity walked out of her room wearing a pink and purple Kimono with an artificial Cherry blossom hairpin. "Come on Hope, let's get to the academy before we are late!" Hope nodded and left for the academy.

Trinity and Hope reached the gates to the academy, looked at each other, and took a deep breath.

"We can do this Trinity!

"Yes, we can do this Hope. Today's the day, we become Genin!" They both nodded and headed into the academy and found their homeroom, A-18. Looking around the room, they see open seats in the 4th row, center row. As they sit down, Hope was pushed onto the table in front of him.

"H..Hey! What the hell is the big idea?" Hope throws the hand off his back and starts to turn around. Hearing giggling, and smiles.

"Kazumi!!"

"Hey there loser! You ready for testing?" Kazumi put her fist out and Hope did the same, fist bumping. Kazumi is a tomboyish girl who had red hair and wore a turban on her head. She wore a dark green battle tunic with a huge sash around her waist holding a different variety of ninja tools.

"You bet Kazumi! I feel confident especially since genjutsu is involved!" A loud banging noise erupted from the front of the class room. Hope's homeroom teacher Baki.

"Alright, listen up! Today we start the testing to see if you will graduate the academy and become Genin. First we will have the written test and then we will move to genjutsu and combat. For the written test, you will have 60 minutes to complete 50 multiple choice, 20 true or false, 10 geographic questions, and 20 combat based questions. If there aren't any question, your test will start......NOW!!"
