In a place filled with darkness lived a cruel and conceited king named Flado. Among the frogs, he was the highest. He inherited his kingship from his ancestors.
One day, a servant frog failed to follow Flado’s command. The eyes of Flado went big as if covering his whole face. His mouth opened and spoke at the top of his lungs.
“Kill Him!”
“No! This cannot be. My lord, I am sorry,” the servant frog plead.
“No one could ever stop me! It’s my command.”
Every frog was shock. All of their faces got pale.
From the start of Flado’s ruling, countless frog were murdered because of not obeying the rules and commands of this very bad ruler.
In the night before the execution of the servant frog, Flado had a dream.
“You shall stop what you are planning,” a dark silhouette said to him.
“I am the king here! You can’t tell me what to do.” replied he.
“If that is your decision, you must face your fate.”
Flado awoke and breathed. He was trying to comfort himself.
The sun was shining so bright and the crowd was filled with the illumination. The time had come for the servant frog to say good bye to his friend.
“Let him face the consequences of his stupidity,” Flado commanded.
“If this is my fate, I will face it,” the servant frog stated his last words.
“Pull the rope!,” he insisted.
As the servants pulled the rope, darkness covered the place and started raining. The king was very happy while the other frogs were worried.
“It seems like we are receiving a blessing…,” before Flado spoke his last words a lightning struck him which caused his death.
The frogs were very glad that finally the cruelty of their king ended. The servant frog who was supposed to be killed was freed. They all sang for the happiness that the rain brought to them. From that moment, the paradise where those fogs live regained its beauty. The darkness of the place was filled with light and the sadness of each frogs turned into happiness.
