Just as planned, the MRI machine came in and Doctor Walker was placed in charge of receiving the order. Professor Hërschoff slipped out, and down into his underground bunker sanctuary for a mad scientist, to retrieve and pay for the Hadron Collider. Like clockwork, the tow men arrived and had a huge group of people with them bringing in the LHC from the back-street level entrance. "Where did all of these men come from?" Professor questions.
"Oh, they are my family. They work for me. They are on my clock, so I pay their salary."
"Oh, OK....please be quiet. No one knows up there, about this."
"OK, boss."
"Guys, quiet it down!" Paul Riscotti says. He was the one who was talking to the Professor. He lets out a gentle yell that's barely audible over the truck. The truck comes in and re- positions, straightens up, as men crowd around to guide the driver, then finally parks it right in the middle. This is where all the men come in. They begin to hoist the lever to pick up the HCL. Once it is lifted, they have to very delicately guide it out without it dropping. There are over fifty men there to move this massive monster. Paul's bunch is known for hauling equipment of all sizes, this one being the second largest to record. They manage to get it out and positioned perfectly. Then, as agreed, Professor hands over the suitcase for one hundred, thousand dollars. "Okay, looks good." Paul holds a one-hundred dollar bill up to the light. "It's good, boys!"
" Alright, boss!" Joe Capanelli calls back. "Okay, we are out of here. Enjoy the rest of your day, and don't blow anything up with that thing." He points to the HCL. "It's been a pleasure doing business with'ya." He tips his hat and leaves.
They all leave. Just then, Walker steps out for a smoke, and from down the street, seeing this big rig coming his direction, with a lot of men on the back in the trailer. He couldn't see where they had come form, but it was very unusual for any unmarked vehicles to be back there, on the mountain. Not to mention, it was also very dangerous. Walker had never been to the other side of the mountain. He didn't know what was on the other side. He put his cigarette out, as he watches them drive down towards the bottom of the mountain towards the road. He walks towards his car. He is taking a trip up there to investigate. He smells a fish. So, he starts driving towards where the truck came from. Professor hadn't quite calculated what to do after the truck left,so he was in the concave, tinkering with the HCL. Walker, meanwhile, unknown to Professor, is on his way up there.
Professor stops. He looks up. What's this? An engine.....it's getting closer...But, who? No one else was expected. Was it possible that someone else had discovered his secret tunnel? He pushed the button to close the large steel door barricading the outside entrance, and the inner door. He quickly placed a large sheet over the HCL. Then, he gathered his belongings, and quickly climbed back up and back to the center. He patiently waited until the hall was clear...."Okay...now....I can go." He hurries quietly, watching, back to his office. He is stunned, when Mary turns around, and is in his chair. "Where have you been, Professor?"
