Chapter 1: VidCon

CHAPTER ONE

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Ugh, stupid alarm. How dare it disturb my sleep?

I hit the snooze button and checked the time. It was 9 am. Then it hit me. VIDCON IS TODAY!!

I got out of bed and ran to Maria's room.

Maria has been my best friend since 9th grade. We survived high school together. We're both 18 so we bought a house in California and moved here from Indiana. It's the summer before college and it's gonna be great!

"Wake up loser VidCon is today!" I yelled so she could wake up.

She jumped up and joined me in my excitement.

"We should probably get ready," she said after 10 minutes of fangirling because we were finally going to meet Our Second Life.

"Yeah, good idea," I replied.

I ran back to my room and got in the shower.

Afterwards I changed into a shirt with palm trees on it, black shorts, and my black converse. Then I blow dried and straightened my hair. Lastly I curled my eyelashes and put on some EOS.

I put my phone and a black sharpie in my back pocket and 50 dollars in my front pocket. Then I went to go check if Maria was ready.

"Hey, are you ready?" I asked through the door.

"Yeah," she said while opening the door, "let's go."

I ran down the stairs and in to the kitchen with Maria close behind. I put two slices of bread in the toaster. When they were done I put Nutella on them and poured a glass of orange juice. Maria poured Cinnamon Toast Crunch and milk in a bowl.

"It's 10 and VidCon starts at 12 so we're good on time," I informed Maria.

"Good," she replied with cereal in her mouth and put a thumbs up.

I laughed at her silliness. We finished our breakfast so we went to go brush our teeth. Those 2 years with braces really paid off for us.

Maria ran downstairs and out the door when she was done. I finished checking to see if I looked okay and ran after her.

"Get in loser we're going shopping! Just kidding. We are going to Starbucks though!" Maria yelled from the car.

I laughed at the Mean Girls line. That's our favorite movie.

"Yay! Starbucks!" I said as I got in the car.

We got the usual at Starbucks. A Caramel Flan Frappe. It's just so good!

We got our drinks and headed towards the car. I checked the time, it was 11:30. VIDCON HERE WE COME!!
