Why did I think this was good enough to be a cover?

I'm actually pretty new to digital art (been at it for about a month now), and this is one of two pictures I'm really proud of when it comes to digital art. I like the colors, how It's not a mess, the colors, the design, did I mention I like the colors? I live for pastel like colors, and I think I got them down pretty well here.

Believe or not, that's me! Except, more cartoon like. And more expressive. And not as fat.

Did I tell you that I like the colors?
