Troye's POV
My hands trembled as I turn around to say 'bye' to my Dad before walking up to McCellen highschool, my 'new and improved' school, as my Dad would say.

I bite my lip, quickly turning around and keeping my head down, trying best to avoid any and all contact. As you can see, I'm not the best with big crowds and new things. A public high school was definitely a new thing for me, a real change from my very Catholic, very private school. 'Jenson Catholic Academy for excelling boys,' for years I had been attending the same school, clean cut, tux uniforms, countrywide testing almost weekly. Oh, and did I mention? In another fucking country; Perth, South Africa to Orange County, California, USA.

For the split second that I look up from my gaze at the ground, my body smashes into a small, petite one.

"Oh shit, I'm so sorry!" I quickly bend down to help the girl pick up the books that I made her drop. "I-I wasn't looking where I was going, who am I kidding? I have no damn clue where I'm going," I babble.

"Hey, Bud, it's not that big of a deal." She exclaims as we get up and meet eyes for the first time, "I've never seen you before, are you new?"

"U-m yeah, this is all really new to me. I just moved here from Perth," I mumbled, picking at the skin on my cherry, chapped lip nervously.

"Holy fuck, no way! That's so co-" Midway through her sentence a tall, almost lanky boy with some of the softest features I have ever seen, walks over and stands next to her, looking as if he wasn't trying to spoil our conversation. "-perfect! Connor, this is Troye," she excitedly lays her long, red-lacquered, acrylic nails on my chest. "He's new to our 'fantastic' school." I form a half happy half uncomfortable smile at her extreme spunk and sarcastic attitude flip.

"Well, as you now know I'm Connor Franta," his eyes beam with happiness as he extends his large hand out to me, to which I extend mine out as well to be just as polite. "Welcome to McCellen high school, where all dreams go to die." His extreme look of bluntness envokes an awkward chuckle through my body, not really knowing what to say or do in regards to the negative statement.

"I'm Troye Mellet, as you now know, I'm new and also a junior." As if their moods were flipped with a simple switch, they start to bounce around. Am I missing something?

"Oh, hell yes! Troye, Connor and I are also juniors, so maybe just maybe, you could have a class with us. By the way, the name is Nora Dane and painting is the game."

I look over at Connor as he makes an extreme gesture of pointing at her, "wait for it." As if she was on queue, Nora starts laughing, and at this point, I was completely lost.

"Fuck! I'm so funny! Get it? 'Dane' and 'game' rhyme, ah that'll never get old." Nora goes into another laughing fit before Connor wraps her in a pity hug, petting her head.

"Oh..Baby, it's already old and it doesn't even really rhyme." I snort at his comment immediately, throwing my hand over my face in embarrassment while my cheeks burn red hot. Nora playfully hits Connors shoulder before they both look at each other, then they both engulf me in a bone-crushing hug.

"Nora, classes are about to start, shouldn't we get him to the office before that shit goes off?" I squirm uncomfortably before they shake themselves off, grabbing my hands and quickly taking me through the doors that I'd envisioned would take me so long to walk in, now I no choice but to walk through the invisible trip wire.

"...Okay, so basically you have first, fifth and eighth period with us. Do you have any questions for us, before we make our way upstairs to first?" I shake my head 'no' to Connors question and we start to walk towards the stairs.
