Soulmate AU where soulmates share the same afterlife.
Elaboration: Once the soulmates are both/all dead, they will be living in a beautiful, peaceful, heavenly afterlife together, even if they never met while alive.
Imagine a couple that had been married for years, and it was a completely happy marriage. Everything seemed perfect and they were sure they were soulmates. Once their final days approached, they woke up in the afterlife, only to see that someone they had never seen before was waiting there for them. Their true soulmate was someone they'd never known.
Alternatively, when one of the people in that couple died and saw someone they'd never known waiting for them, they asked who they were and started to learn about them. They learn that their soulmate had died a very long time ago, and they were waiting for the day their soulmate would arrive to meet them in the afterlife.
