Changing

I was a senior in college when I changed into a shape-shifter. I should probably introduce myself my name is Miley Ray Stewart. I lost my temper one day while I was arguing with my best friend when I felt really feverish. I knew what it meant so I ran out of the dorm room and outside where I exploded into a giant wolf. "Oh My God Miley?!?!" my best friend Lilly Truscott exclaims in shock as I approach her nodding and lay down with my head on my huge paws in front of her whimpering. "You're beautiful." she says as she strokes the fur on my forehead. I make a contented rumbling sound deep in my barrel like chest. I concentrate on phasing Back to my human form. 'Lets go back to the dorm room before we start talking ok.' I say after returning to my human form. We head back to the dorm. "So everyone in your family can turn into a giant wolf?" she asks as I pull on some clothes seeing as I shredded what I had been wearing when I phased. "Yup." I reply. "Damn." Lilly says. "You know what's worse I'm pregnant because of Oliver raping me." I say as I sit down on my bed. "Your what?!?!" Lilly exclaims. "I'm pregnant as a result of Oliver raping me." I say before breaking down in tears. "Oh My God Miley are you sure you're pregnant??" Lilly asks as she sits down next to me on the bed and pulls me into a hug. "I took a test last week and it was positive." I say as I so harder. "I'm so sorry Miles. And by the way your skin feels like a furnace." Lilly says as she hugs my heavily muscled body closer to her. "Its ok I've always wanted to have a baby." I say as I start shaking again. "Lilly get back before you get hurt." I say as I run out of the dorm room and outside into the woods next to our building before exploding into a giant wolf again. -Miles is that you?- a voice in my head asks as I run through the woods in my wolf form. -Yeah it's me. It's finally happened and I also imprinted on Lilly.- I say as I come to a stop. -Not to mention the fact that you're pregnant with Oliver Oken's baby.- the voice in my head I identified as my brothers says. -He raped me Jackson!- I say as I run back towards our building. I shrink down into my human form and pull on the clothes I had left next to a tree. It's dark in the room when I walk in and peel off the t-shirt that is clinging to my sweaty overheated skin. I collapsed on to bed in my jeans and bra. _The next morning_ "Miles its-omg why don't you have a shirt on?!?!" "You try wearing a shirt when your body temperature is 108 degrees." I reply getting up off the bed and pulling on a wife beater. Lilly and I head to our first class of the day which is mythology. My phone goes off in the middle of the lecture. "Miss Stewart did your phone go off?" "Yes sir my brother texted me to tell me that my dad is in the hospital." I leave the lecture hall and call Jackson. "Sis Dad has called a Pack meeting." Jackson says as he answers his phone. "Sweet niblets. Tell him I'll be there soon." I say before re-entering the lecture hall. "Mr. Stevens my girlfriend and I need to get to the hospital. My Daddy is in a bad way." "Your dismissed."  the teacher says as he sighs. "Thank you." I say motioning for Lilly to follow me. We head to our building and for the woods next to it. "My Dad called a Pack meeting and he wants you there too." I say as I strip off my clothes and tie them to my leg with a thin black cord. I phase into my wolf form and kneel down so Lilly can climb on to my back. I take off running using my powerful leg muscles to go really fast. We arrive back in Malibu in under two hours. I howl softly to let the Pack know that Lilly and I had arrived. Someone opens the door and I dart in still in my wolf form. I kneel down so that Lilly can climb off me and I phase back to human. I pull on my wife beater and Jean cutoff shorts.  "You called a Pack meeting?" I ask after I finish pulling on my clothes. "I did. We need to discuss you imprinting on Lilly." my Dad says as he comes into the room in nothing but a pair of jean cutoff shorts. "What's an imprint?" Lilly asks looking at Mr. Stewart who was obviously the alpha of this Pack. "Its when a shape-shifter finds it's soul mate. It's other half." Robbie Ray says as he looks at Lilly with a warm smile. "You mean I'm Miley's soul mate. Her other half?" Lilly asks in shock. "Yes you are. But the imprinter is willing to be anything for the imprintee. Be friend, protector, or lover. I'm willing to be any of those things for you, Lilly." I say as I look Lilly in her beautiful blue eyes. "You have a choice but I don't. You'll be the only one for me Lilly. I'll never love anyone else." I say as I turn away from her blue eyes. I run outside and phase without taking off my clothes and I run just to run. -Two weeks later- "Have you talked to Miles lately?" Lilly asks Jackson over the phone. "Yes but she's not listening. She's not coming back Lil." Jackson says over the phone. -Miley Ray Stewart you need to come back this instance Lilly, Jackson and I are worried about you.- my dad's voice says in my head. I block him out and push myself to go faster. I know that I'm somewhere in Northern Canada. -Miles you need to come back.- my brothers voice says inside my head. I turn around and head back towards California. -Two days later- I arrive back home tired and hungry. I howl softly to alert anyone inside that I was home. "Oh My God Miley you came home!" Lilly says throwing her arms around my massive neck. I nudge her with my massive head gently. By now it was evident that I was pregnant. I phase back into my human form and dart into the house and up to my room for clothes. "Its feels weird to be wearing clothes again." I say as I come down the stairs. "Why in the hell did you run away like that Miley?!?!" Lilly asks angrily. "Because I couldn't face you Lilly." "What do you mean by you couldn't face me??" Lilly asks me with tears sparkling in her eyes. "I knew I wouldn't be able to take you rejecting me. So I ran." "Miley I'm in love with you. I could never reject you." Lilly says as she pulls me into a hug. "Really?" I ask before kissing her. "Really really." Lilly says smiling warmly at me. By now I'm almost three months pregnant with Oliver's baby. I pulled Lilly into a tight hug and kisses the top of her head. "I love you so much Lilly. "I say as I pull her tighter against my body.
"I love you too babe." Lilly says hugging my overheated body tightly. We stay like that for a while. Then my dad comes in the room. "Miley Ray Stewart you are in big trouble!" he says trembling slightly. "I know I shouldn't have ran away like that Daddy but I was scared that Lilly would reject me." I say quietly. "All that matters is that she's home." Lilly says looking at Robbie Ray. "I'll go to my room." I say as I walk up the stairs with my head down. "Miles you don't have to do that." Lilly says as she grabs my arm. "Yes I do actually." I say before entering my room. "You don't have to go to your room. Just don't run away again." Robbie Ray says looking at his daughter. "I'm going to go run patrol for a while. I promise I'll be back." I say as I pull off my clothes and tie them to the thin black leather cord around my leg. I let the heat spread through my body making me explode in a cinnamon colored wolf with reddish brown fur around my muzzle, dark brown fur on my underbelly and white on the tip of my tail. I take off running for the woods at the edge of the beach. 'Miles is that you??'my brothers voice asks me. -Yeah it's me Jackson. You can head back. I've got it from here.' I say as I pick up his scent and run the perimeter that he was running already. 'No I'm going to stay and run patrol with you.' Jackson says as he slows down so that he can run next to me. I push myself to go faster. Jackson gives a coughing bark which is our equivalent of a laugh. 'Are you laughing at me furball??' I ask before bumping him hard with my shoulder. 'Hey!!' Jackson says as he stumbles from being bumped. -Two hours later- We head back to the house. We phase back to human when we reach the edge of the forest. I pull on my clothes and head into the house. "Whoo I'm dead tired." I say as I plop onto the couch. "We ran across a trail left by an unknown vampire. We followed the scent until it disappeared at the waters edge." Jackson says. My dad walked out the door and and stripped. He phased into a jet black wolf and took off running for the woods. My brother followed him into the woods leaving Lilly and I alone. I pull Lilly into a loving embrace. "Oh wow you're so warm." Lilly says snuggling into my embrace. "I love you so much sweetheart." I say as I hug her. "I love you too babe." Lilly says before she kisses me. I kiss her back fiercely. "Oh crap." I say when I feel something move inside of me. "What's wrong Miles?!?!" Lilly asks panicking. "The baby moved." I say as I place my hand on my stomach. "It did?!?!" Lilly asks astonished. "Yeah here give me your hand." I say as I place her hands on my slightly swollen stomach.  "OMG I can feel it!" Lilly says as her eyes widen in surprise and wonder. "Thats our child in there Sweetheart." I say grinning like an idiot. "I promise to love this baby like it was my own." Lilly says before kissing me heatedly. "Really?" I ask as I pull away from her. "Really, really." Lilly says as she looks up at me. "That's all I needed to know." I say as I pull tightly up against my blazing hot skin. "My own personal space heater." Lilly says as she snuggles into my chest. "Thats not all I'm good for!" I say with mock indignity and agitation. "I know Sweetie but that's what I need right now." Lilly says as she looks up into my face which is higher than it used to be. "Oh well let's go lay down on the couch." I say as I move towards the couch pulling Lilly with me. I sit down on the couch pulling Lilly down until she is sitting down between my legs. I stretch out on the couch with my feet hanging off the end of the couch with Lilly laying down in front of me. "Your body temperature is going to really come in handy during the winter months when you're in Tennessee." Lilly says as she snuggles up against Miley's front. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her even tighter against me. Lilly sighs in contentment. "The fur helps a lot too you know." I say as I start drifting off to sleep. "You have the right idea Miles." Lilly says as she hears me snoring slightly. -Two hours later-
I slowly come back to consciousness. I yawn and I look down to see Lilly sleeping peacefully snuggled up against me with a content smile on her beautiful face. "Lilly you need to get up so we can head back to Stanford." I say as I gently shake her shoulder to wake her up. "Five more minutes please." Lilly mumbles sleepily. "No can do Sweetheart you need to get up now." I say as I start to shake her less gently. "I'm up, I'm up." Lilly says as she sits up and rubs her eyes. "What time is it?" Lilly asks as she gets up off the couch and walks into the kitchen. "5:00." I say as I also get up off the couch and follow her into the kitchen. "Crap! We need to head back to Stanford now!" Lilly says as she closes the door to the fridge. We head outside. We walk across the beach to the edge of the woods. I strip off my clothes and tie them to my leg. I shift into my wolf form and kneel down so that Lilly can climb up onto my back. We arrive back at Stanford in under two hours. Lilly climbs down off my back allowing me to shift back to human. I pull on my clothes and we walk over to the building that houses our dorm room. "Ahh I'm glad to be back at school." I say as I collapse backwards onto my bed. "You got that right." Lilly says as she collapses backwards onto her bed. I pull off my t shirt, jean cutoffs and bra. I pull on a tight white tank top and black gym shorts. "I'm beat." I say as I climb into my bed and drift off to sleep. After Lilly changes into her pajamas she climbs into the bed with me. I wrap my arms around her waist and I pull her tighter against my blazing hot skin.
