Part 3: Truth

Youngjae explained everything that happened. Mark and Jinyoung listened, occasionally giving reactions and pats on the younger's back to make him feel a little bit better from the awful event.

" I knew he never changed! We shouldn't have trusted him! I'm gonna beat the shit out of that fucking asshole- " Mark began to rage out and was about to go out of the house to teach Jaebum a lesson when Jinyoung gripped on his arm and shook his head.

" Mark don't. It isn't worth it. " Jinyoung sternly said. In fact, Jinyoung didn't know what to do. He thought Jaebum permanently changed his ways once he got together with Youngjae. Jaebum changing from his bad personality made Jinyoung change too, and here he was, in a beautiful relationship with Mark. But hearing the fact that the old Jaebum came back made him afraid, afraid that he too would go back to his old ways.

" What do you mean it isn't worth it?! He hurt my best friend, and you expect me not to do anything about it?! Just cause you and Jaebum are best friends doesn't mean it won't stop me from hurting him for hurting my friend " Mark half yelled, trying to control his anger. Mark knew he shouldn't burst his anger out at his boyfriend, especially since his boyfriend has nothing to do with this. But the fact that his best friend was hurting because of his boyfriends best friend made him go to the edge of his temper, with only a little bit left before he would explode.

 " Mark listen, we all know that Jaebum stopped playing with feelings ever since he met Youngjae, it isn't like him to change out of the blue, there has to be an explanation, so please, control your anger until we hear out his explanation. " Jinyoung practically pleaded to his boyfriend. The last thing he wanted to see was his boyfriend beating his best friend to a pulp. 

Youngjae wept silently, but Jinyoung was right. Jaebum wouldn't do such a thing for no reason, Youngjae needed to hear his side of the story. 

The younger nodded his head at Jinyoung, softly sniffing and using his hand to wipe off the tears that fell down his rosy cheeks. 

" H-He's right hyung, we should at least hear his side of the story before jumping to conclusions. " Youngjae said with a stutter. 

Mark stood quietly, looking back and forth between the two before letting out a sigh. " Fine. But I'm still beating his ass off for hurting Jaejae " 

Jinyoung let out a sigh of relief before taking out his phone from his back pocket. Pressing the number 2, Jaebum's number automatically speed dialed and he waited for the other to pick up the phone.

Youngjae was gripping the hem of his sweater, feeling nervous of what is about to come out of Jaebum's mouth. Mark saw his actions and wrapped his arm around the younger's shoulders before he whispered, " Everything will be ok jaejae " 

Mark wrapped his arms around the youngers waist, pulling him close to his embrace as Youngjae leaned his head against the olders chest. Jinyoung, who saw this didn't care, he knew that those 2 were as close as to real brothers, and he trusted Mark, so the feeling of jealousy was never there.

After a couple of rings, Jaebum finally picked up. Jinyoung put it on loud speakers and held out the phone for all of them to hear.

" What ? "

The other line said groggily, not even bothering his manners.

" Why did you do it Jaebum "

" What do you mean? "

" Youngjae is here crying his eyes out because he saw you. He saw you have sex with someone else. I mean, what the actual fuck Jaebum, I thought you changed! " 

By this time now, Jinyoung was yelling. The other 2 could only listen to their conversation. Mark rubbing circles on the youngers back as the other continued to let out sobbing hiccups ( if that even is a thing lmao ).

" Oh. He saw? " Jaebum said with a voice that sounded like he didn't care at all. Then came out a small chuckle, making Youngjae feel even worse than before.

The chuckle died down and in came silence, before the older decided to speak up.

" He wasn't enough to fulfill my needs. So?  " 

This just made Youngjae break down. His voice sounded heart less. Like it didn't matter to him that he just cheated on his own husband. That all of what happened was normal.

" So? SO?! IM FUCKING JAEBUM. YOU ARE BETTER THAN THIS. YOU CHANGED FOR THE BETTER AND I HONESTLY FUCKING THOUGHT THAT YOUR BITCH ASS WOULD BE MATURE. AND HERE YOU ARE NOW. SHOVING YOUR DICK DOWN SOMEONE ELSE'S ASSHOLE BECAUSE YOUNGJAE WASN'T ENOUGH?!?! " It was Marks turn to yell. He's had enough. He knew Jaebum would never change. From the start of the day they first met, Mark knew he was trouble. But Youngjae fell in love. There was nothing he could do about it before. But now that Jaebum has done something way worse than before, has triggered something in Mark which he kept in for so long.

" DON'T YOU DARE COME NEAR OR EVEN LOOK AT YOUNGJAE AGAIN! IF I SEE YOU EVEN THE SLIGHTEST, YOU ARE DEAD YOU HEAR ME?! " Mark threatened before he hung up. His hand was balled up in a fist as he tries to calm down. His breathing becoming heavy as he grits his teeth at the mere thought of Jaebum.

Youngjae just stood there, accepting everything the 2 elders has said. Yes, his heart was broken once more, but this time, he is sure nothing can put it back together. 

He let out a deep sigh as he falls on the floor butt first. He's tired. He doesn't want to try anymore. He's endured everything that has been thrown at him, and this was the last straw. He couldn't take it anymore. His heart couldn't take it anymore.

" So this is reality huh.... this is what happens after happily ever afters.. "

....

I changed just for you...

But I can't keep you any longer..
