The Summer with Him

Ch 16

OK, i'm not saying I'm over our little.. whatever it was. But he isn't ignoring me so that's a plus.

"I've missed you." He was the first to talk and he left me speechless. I was not expecting that. I recovered from the shock.

"I've missed you too. But I don't know how anything is anymore." I said truthfully.

He was looking at me intently as if trying to figure out what to say. "Well, now that we have established we miss each other. Let's hang out." He finally said pulling me up.

It felt great to be with him again. We danced and laughed and so much fun.

Sadly the party had to come to an end but some time during the end i lost track of my friends but I made it home safe and sound. Thank god.

I woke up the next morning quite happy.

Unfortunately today it was a girls day. Britt wanted to 'spend family' time with me.

It was a lazy day for me, I really didn't want to do anything. But unfortunately, I had to. She said it would be fun, but I don't know.

I decided to just get up get ready. I got dressed in a simple outfit. Since it was so hot I decided on shorts and a tank top.

Next thing I knew I was getting yelled at to hurry up. "Yeah, yeah I'm coming." I yelled back.

I don't know why but I'm actually looking forward to spending this time with her. This summer we actually haven't spent much time together. Come to think of it we haven't done much at all.

I finshed just as she was about to shout at me again. "Told ya I was coming." I smirked at her while she jjust roled her eyes.

"Ok, so let's go before we are late." She said pushing me out the door.

I didn't argue and we left without another word. I forgot to ask what we were doing, but after twenty minutes of driving we arrived at the mall.

I was so excited I almost missed what she was saying.  "Okay, so I have a whole day of pampering ahead of us."

"And by that you mean...?" I asked trying to get her to elaborate.

"Well first we have Mani pedis and then a hair appointment, then shopping the rest of the day." She said getting excited. Heck I was even getting excited.

"That sounds like so much fun!" I yelled excitedly.

"Oh, my we are going to be late." All of the sudden I was being pulled through the lot towards the shops.

We got to the nail place on time and Britt finally released me to go let them know we were here.

I decided to go ahead and checkout what polishes they had. I didn't like any colors but the designs were really pretty so I decided on one of those.

When it was our turn they set right to work on our hands and feet.

"So, now that I got you away. How have you been?" Britt decided to start asking me questions.

"Eh, you know summer life, some good, some bad you know." I said.

"Ok, so how is Max?" She asked catching me off guard.

"I-huh-what?" I choked out confused.

She smiled while saying "you heard me. I know you guys have been spending a lot of time together and don't forget about your room incident."

I was dumbfounded and at a loss for words but I managed to say something. "As good as friends should be I guess." I said shrugging.

"Uh huh, so what have you 'friends' been doing lately?" She asked not buying it for one second.
