What You Can't See

Prologue

It's simple really, some people are colorblind, some people are not, and everyone has always believed that being colorblind is the defect, that seeing everything as green and brown or gray and white is what the condition is. Now people that see the mix of the red, yellow, and blue colors are truly the ones to blame for this idea, they are truly the ones to blame for all the troubles that this society is going through. America is a dystopia, everyone has already come to terms with that but, no one has even learned that it's all planet Earth has left...

After North Korea started an arms race with the United States, they accidently set off an atom bomb that was more than just deadly. Ironically the bomb set off and destroyed the European, Asian, and African countries within milliseconds, those who died would never even know that they had been killed as it was just that vast of an explosion. Disease spread across the ocean and soon the nuclear illness killed off Iceland, Hawaii, and Greenland as well, South America had also fallen fatally. If you're not following that means that only the United States, without Hawaii, and Canada remain alive and unscathed. The recent president of the United States was sworn to secrecy on the topic and was to continue acting as if the other side of the world was still intact. All news channels and foreign television shows were taken off air on the lines of, 'Another Cold War' the public was never to find out about any of this but of course, that wasn't the real problem.

The real issue was the exterminations. It was genocide but of course, it was hardly noticed. Colors! Red, yellow, and blue the three primary colors that made up just about everything just about anyone could see. Can't you see the issue, just about anyone can see the world through the eyes of each other but, there are some that see it through other ways. Those who go blind and see the world through the pitch black abyss of their minds, those who have various versions of colorblindness and see the world through various shades of the same color. The separation factor is in the eyes, if anybody was ever to find out about the world's current state it would go viral in seconds so the world must hold as little people as possible. Singling out a similarity by the throw of a dart and now, people that see the red, yellow, blue are slowly being pulled from their jobs, from the streets, and from their houses.

It started within minorities, homeless people, immigrants, large families that were broken off in various ways to find money. They'd be picked up when it's barely bright out and taken into a testing room with the promise of money if they were just to answer a series of questions. Most would not return home but an envelope of half of what was promised in cash was left on doorsteps if the person left a family behind. No one knew what was going on and those who had suspicions weren't taken seriously. The Government, as shady as it ever was, remained trusted.
