King Elliot and Queen Lilith were asleep in the silky sheets of their over sized bed when they heard their son crying desperately from his nursery. The King and Queen were obviously exhausted, what with their new baby and having to run the Kingdom of Ibberidon. They both kind of wished that their job had maternity leave.

Elliot opened his eyes and them closed them again, annoyed. This was at least the fifth time in two nights that he had been woken up by the baby, and it had only been a week since he had been born. Elliot hoped that Lilith would go comfort him this time, as he was exhausted from only having gotten eight hours of sleep in the last three days. Elliot loved his son, but the kid had a real set of lungs.

"Its your turn..." Lilith mumbled sleepily to Elliot after a few minutes of relentless crying. Elliot pretended not to have heard her, still hoping she would do it.

"Elliot... I know you're awake..." She said without opening her eyes. Elliot groaned. He opened his eyes and looked out the huge windows, where the first strands of sunlight were starting to shine through the trees. The sun rise was beautiful, bright pinks and oranges nestled between the stormy grey mountains over looking his castle.

"Fine... but you're doing it next time." He yawned, stretching, and reluctantly stumbled out of bed into the dark hallways of his castle.

Oh, crap.

He had forgotten the lantern. Oh, well. Too late now.

Feeling along the stone wall, Elliot blindly walked towards the nursery, trying not to trip over anything. The musty smell of the corridor was so overpowering, he had to cover his nose with his night shirt.

Elliot shushed the baby gently as he stepped through the doorway.

"It's okay, buddy, shhh..." Elliot reached out to him, half way there.

As Elliot was about to pick the baby up, there was a bright flash of light, leaving him momentarily blinded. When he could see again, he opened his eyes, squinting and shielding his face with his arm. His baby was gone. Terrified and confused, Elliot spun around, searching for the child.

Standing in front of the door, blocking him from leaving, was a tall figure dressed in all black. He had stubble that insisted the stranger hadn't shaved in a week, and his dark brown hair was long and partially covered the three scars that went from his temple down to the base of his throat, crossing through his eye. But this wasn't the scariest thing about him; it was the fact that he was holding Elliot's child.

Precisely at the wrong moment, Lilith turned the corner into the nursery. She stopped, stunned, and stared at the figure. She turned to run. Before she could even make it through the doorway, the man grabbed her by the hair and threw her with superhuman force into the dresser. She did not rise.

Filled with rage and fear, Elliot lunged at the man, desperate to save his only son. The stranger side stepped him, grabbed him by the hair, and flung him across the room into the wall. Elliot felt hot liquid trickling into his eyes.

"TELL ME WHO YOU ARE, YOU COWARD!" Elliot screamed, filled with hate for this man that was stealing his son. He was disgusted at the thought of what the man would do to him.

He got up, limped towards the figure, and dove once more onto the man, pinning him to the ground. Elliot got in a few hard punches before the man flipped him onto his back and hit him once in the head, knocking him out.

Elliot: " You should vote cuz my head hurts... XD "
