Author's Note: This morning I looked at the reads I had and saw 32! It may not seem like that much but it means a lot to see you all reading my story:) Be sure to vote and follow if you like it so far!
Again, it's fairly slow but these first chapters are critical to the rest, so just bare with me.
Be sure to go check out my friend Dream_Catcher02's stories! They're both incredible!

Chapter 4 - Introductions
After switching planes twice, we finally arrived in Australia. Even though Arizona was gorgeous, Sydney was even more so. I couldn't believe the ocean views, how nice the people were, and the beautiful wildlife.
We got to the house after waiting for our luggage to finally coming around and after getting on the shuttle to our new home, which took one hour alone. We got to the house mid-day, but it felt like midnight because of the jet lag and the ridiculous time change. I could barely keep my eyes open.
The house was two stories, and definitely the nicest one we've had yet. We walked inside to see a huge grand stair case on the right, which is where all the boxes were, making a pathway in-between all the boxes and bags to temporarily get up the stairs. On the left was a huge living room with a 55 inch flat screen hanging on the far wall above a marble gas fire place. Surrounding it was seating of love seats and an enormous couch. A small bar stood in the back right hand corner of the room, and a window seat with colorful pillows for decoration was directly to the left of the front door.
Straight back was the kitchen. It was completely brand new with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and gorgeous white cabinets. Right next to the kitchen were French doors that lead to the back yard outside where an infinity pool and enormous grassy yard took place. I was in awe, to say in the least.
"Wow, look at all the space for food!" My brother John exclaimed while looking through the huge pantry, fridge, and cabinets, causing me I laughed in agreement.
"Mom, Dad, this place is gorgeous!" I told my parents with a bright smile.
"We're glad you both like it! We're going to renovate a few things, but otherwise it's perfect," Mom told me.
"Now, both of you go upstairs and pick out your rooms. You each have your own bathrooms," My dad told us both, even though we were already ahead of him and sprinting up the narrow pathway upstairs in-between all the boxes.
"I call this one!" John and I both yelled, luckily in different rooms. I was examining my enormous room in shock when I heard a knocking at the front door, making me leave my room and walk downstairs to answer it.
I opened the door and saw a girl looking about my age standing on the other side. She had lighter brown hair that fell a little past her shoulders and bold green and gold eyes that practically glowed with happiness and excitement. I could tell she was a swimmer by her shirt, which was a black MAC swim team shirt with dark wash jean shorts and black and white high top Converse.
"Hi! My name's Kori! I saw the moving truck and decided to come say hi!" she told me. I noticed she had an American accent with a slight "tint" of Australian mixed in.
"Hi! I'm Erica, but everyone calls me Eric," I said with a smile. "Come in!" I said with a laugh. "Sorry, it's really messy. We just got here today."
"Oh that's okay. That's what it was like when my family moved here two years ago!" She told me. We went back into the kitchen so I could introduce her to my parents and brother. After, we headed up to my room. I learned that she also moved from Arizona two years ago while we laughed about things in Arizona and talked to learn more about each other. She also told me that she was my age and going to be a freshman at the high school I was going to. I could definitely tell we were going to become really good friends. Maybe this won't be so bad after all.
Later that night, I crawled into bed after spending the rest of the day building my room. I don't even know how I stayed awake this whole time. It was honestly exhausting.
I read a little bit of 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green because it's one of my favorites, highlighting all of the parts that were my favorite, or quotes that were really important. After a chapter or so I put the book down on my bedside table, turned off the lights and slowly fell asleep.
~Dream~
"Hi, love," the boy greeted me. "How are you liking Australia so far? I mean, even though it's only been half a day," he laughed.
"It's been great actually. I met my neighbor, Kori, and she seems really nice. She's my age and we're going to the same high school!" I exclaimed.
"I'm glad to hear that. Just be yourself, and you'll make plenty of new friends," he reassured me. We talked about the move and my experience with all the moves I've gone through.
"Well, it's been the entire night. I'm going to leave for a few days, but I'll be back after. Be sure to be yourself, okay love?" He told me.
"Of course. Thank you." I paused and realized something. "Wait, I never got your name!" I exclaimed.
"You will eventually. See you soon," He said with a smile and disappeared.
~End Dream~
I woke up at around 8:30 in the morning, according to my clock. After I had streched and began to get out of bed, It dawned on me that I had another dream with the boy again. I think I'm going to talk to Kori about it today, maybe she'll know what to do.
Could he be real or just my imagination?
