1. The almost death

Ying Kong Shi's POV

Father has now decided that I shall be the new Ice King of the tribes. Ka Suo my brother would not be. Instead he has decided to live in the mortal realm with Li Luo; who is to be his bride. I was happy for him; for he could now have the life that he wanted and not be the next king. I have kept that promise to give him what he wanted freedom.

"Shi, Are you sure that you can do this?" Ka Suo said he walked down the aisle with me whispering.

"Yes, brother don't worry I'll be fine." I whispered back to him.

Now it was my coronation to be king; from now on my life would never be the same.

"King Ying Kong Shi it is also time that you chose a bride to sit beside you on the throne as queen of the Ice clan." Many of the royal advisors shouted.

"Then I shall chose." Before I could say who my bride would be Lan Shang went towards Li Luo stabbing her with the sprit devouring sword. I caught Li Luo as she went limp falling into my arms. I brought her to my bedchamber so the healers would take care of her as soon as possible.

"Where is the princess mermaid?" I asked one of my guards.

"The princess is in the cells by the order of your brother, Ka Suo." He quietly replied back to me.

I went to the cells to see princess Lan Shang in chains with tears streaming down her face.

"Leave us." I ordered the guards.

"Why, Lan Shang? Why did you hurt Li Luo? She has done nothing to you." I asked wanting to know why she did this.

"Ying Kong Shi, you don't understand I love your brother. I am the princess mermaid it should have been me. I should have been the one your brother chose." Lan Shang continued to say as her tears turned into Perls onto the floor.

"But he didn"t Lan Shang. I thought that you would get over this by now. I tell you this now you both would have made each other miserable in the years to come." I said while trying not to sound harsh to her.

I turned around to leave when I heard her whisper "I could have made Ka Suo happy." It was no use she shall remain there.

I reached my chambers to see how Li Luo was faring.

"How is Li Luo?" Looking at Huang Tuo of the healer clan.

"She is very weak. But I am doing everything I can to make her better." He replied to me trying not to sound worried.

"Ka Suo." Li Luo stirred opening her eyes slowly.

I sat down next to her holding her hand.

"Where is my brother?" I whispered to the guards.

"My king; your brother is by the gates of the kingdom." They quickly replied back.

"Shi, where is he?" Li Luo looked at me wanting to know where he was.

"I'll find him. For now I want you to stay here in my chambers to rest." I said to her as I walked away going to find Ka Suo.
