The sound of the phone ringing broke the silence between the two occupants in the car. Arnav checked his phone. Aman?
"Yeah, Aman? We are just about to reach," Arnav said.
Aman replied, "But sir, the meeting has been cancelled. The associates of the Coimbatore Industry wanted to finalized their legal matters on their end before they jump into business with the AR Group. They have requested to postpone it for awhile and will contact us."
Arnav couldn't believe it. "What?! They had told me that they had everything under control. Okay forget them. We can't wait for them to suit their timings. Contact Mr. Sharma and tell him that we would like to meet. Set up a meeting at the earliest time possible and call me."
He hung up and turned to Aakash. "Meeting got cancelled."
Aakash nodded his head. He looked up and widen his eyes. "No way we're going home bhai. Not with an exuberant Nk bhai in the house," he protested. He open his mouth to suggest that they still go to office but interrupted by Arnav's phone. He picked up without looking the caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Chhote? Have you reach the office?", asked Anjali.
"No Di, we were stuck in traffic and the meeting got cancelled too....", Arnav trailed off looking at Aakash who was shaking his head vigorously.
Anjali responded happily, "Acha? Great then. You two come home and help us set up everything for the dance practice lessons. There are so many things left to do around the house too."
"But di..."
"No but, no excuses. You have to help today, no work no deal". Anjali then soften her voice and said, "Just spent some time with us family, chhote. With me? Hmm?"
Arnav closed his eyes. His sister played the 'sister card' very well. Even knowing her manipulation he couldn't resist fulfilling her every desire.
"Okay Di, we are turning back now", he said finally succumbing to her. Anjali smiled and hung up.
Aakash looked at his brother for an explanation. Well? He lifted an eyebrow.
"It seems we have to go now since Di is emotionally blackmailing me," said Arnav. Aakash sigh in defeat. "Okay bhai... Let's brace ourselves for an afternoon filled with Nk's tomfoolery".
Shantivan
"So let me get this right. There is some sangeet before the wedding in which the families from both the groom's and the bride's dance and celebrate?," asked Nk scratching his head in confusion.
Anjali, mamiji, mamaji and nani were sitting in the family room discussing about the upcoming rituals and replying to Nk's never-ending questions about it.
Nani nodded. " There are so many rituals and events that brings the family together and that's the most important thing. Two families are coming together as one so a celebration is a must."
Anjali said to Nk, "And you know what Nk bhai? A special dance instructor is coming today to teach us especially for this wedding. Won't you be dancing too at the sangeet?"
"Yes yes, of course. Why not. Anything to make Aakash's wedding more merrier with desi music and dance." Nk started dancing at the spot he is standing, shaking his head this way and moving his hand that way with no synchronicity.
Everyone started laughing at his antics. He smiled stopping his dance and sat by nani's seat.
Anjali shaking her head laughing said, "You have to work very hard too NK bhai because the dance master is very strict and prone to anger and give severe lectures. I still couldn't forget the last time she was here." She shuddered. Nk gulped.
