Yesterday was Valentine's Day. A day where all the couples seem that they have the right to show off to all the loners and heart broken ones. I honestly don't understand the whole deal of this day. Up north, it gets freezing during this time of year. How can these idiots possibly think about love with a blizzard (which school decides is not worthy of canceling a freaking day).
However, yesterday was the day that Anthony Roberts crushed the heart of Stephanie Lane. The poor girl stayed in the bathroom for two whole periods and looked like a complete wreck. Yesterday also happened to be the day where I found a huge bouquet of roses from (surprise, surprise) Anthony Roberts. A note attached to card asking if I would like to be his new girlfriend. Now, you'd probably expect that I would reject him, in hopes of leaving him crying, as someone else would. But, I have a better plan.
Two can play this love game. Congratulations, Anthony Roberts. You're about to get played.

I wake up and the air is hot, and stuffy, causing me to sneeze a couple times. I drag myself out of bed and get dressed in a navy blue tank top, a light blue and white striped skirt and a cream cardigan.
After getting dressed, I head to the washroom and quickly brush my teeth. I brush my hair, which is an odd colour - dark brown at the top, and pink going down. I wash my face before adding a layer of lip gloss and a bit of blush to my pale cheeks. I quickly apply mascara before curling my hair. With one last look in the mirror, I grab my Ray Bans and phone then leave downstairs for breakfast.
My mom sits, eating bacon, eggs and toast, while my dad sits in his favourite spot, reading the paper. I sit down and help myself to breakfast.
"Mmm... Giselle did a lovely job with these eggs," my mom says. "Courtney, don't you think so?" Giselle is our cook/housekeeper and always creates food masterpieces.
"Mhm." I nod. I look over my shoulder and see Giselle beaming. I finish breakfast, then grab my backpack before heading out the door. I get in my car and take off, trying to get to school as fast as possible.

I arrive and park my car nearby. I hop out and lock the door, before entering the building. I see Adison immediatly and head over to greet her.
"Soooo! Hows it going?" I ask about her heart break.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I guess." She says. "That immature......... Bastard is such a jerk!"
"Mhm. Well, get this. He tried to ask me to be his girlfriend yesterday."
"Shut up! He did not!"
"Those petty little flowers? Those were from him."
"What the hell?! I fucking hate him!" She pouts. "What did you say to him?"
"I haven't told him yet."
"So... What are you going to tell him?"
Before telling her my ingenius idea, I take her to the corner and whisper.
"I'm gonna say yes--" I start
"WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!" She interrupts, screaming.
"Shut up! You didn't let me finish."
"Oh, sorry!" She flashes me a smile.
"I'm gonna say yes, then break his heart."
"How is that even possible? He's the biggest player in the school!"
"And I am willing to play the game."
"This is a game you'll lose, Courtney."
"I can still try."
"But-" She's interrupted by the bell.
"See ya." I say and run off to first period - chemistry.
