Tony's POV
Weeks were going by fast and I've noticed Valerie getting closer to Vic. Valerie obviously likes him and he obviously feels good about her. I just wouldn't want anything to happen between them while Jennifer was still around and with Vic. I always remind Valerie of that and she just sighs and says she knows.
I was walking home from school after a 3 hour detention (I might've cussed at a teacher...) when all of a sudden Jennifer's car pulls up and slows down next to me. Not wanting to deal with any of the bs that was to come, I instantly pick up my pace and turn the corner. I hear a car door slam and the sound of heels clicking rapidly.
"Wait! Tony, wait!" Why is she so annoying? I sighed and rolled my eyes as I turned around to face her.
"What, Jennifer?" I kept a straight face. I'm not really afraid of Jennifer and her high status in the school. She intimidated Valerie but she doesn't target me. I just get the leftovers of the shit Valerie doesn't take from her as a consequence of being her friend but I don't care.
"Where're you going?" I knew she wanted something but I don't get the point in her trying to small talk right now.
"I'm going home. You should do the same. Why're you even talking to me? You call me loser every day and I know you talk about me and my friends so what do you want?"
Jennifer's POV
Tony Perry. Truth is, I'm only talking to him because I want something. That something is Vic Fuentes. I know you probably think I already have him but there's more to it than that. Over these first few weeks of school, my boyfriend has been getting a little too cozy with the loser crew. Why would he want them when I can give him everything and then some? I don't know.
But he thinks I don't notice. I see it when he smiles at her from across the cafeteria behind my back. I see it when they hang out together. I see it when they're making each other laugh and I definitely see it when she's just looking at him with longing eyes. I can ruin them both. But I need Vic or what would happen to the power couple? Sure, I could date a jock but they're all so perverted that I'd rather not.
Anyways, if I'm going to mess up Valerie's life (and get Vic back), what better way to do it than to turn her own friends against her. Starting with Tony of course.
"Well, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you Tony, but I just thought you should know something. It's about Valerie." I saw his expression change to rage.
"Nothing you can say about Valerie could ever change my friendship with her! Why do you even try this hard to ruin someone's life?" I felt him getting angrier. This is good.
"Well as you know, I'm Vic's girlfriend." He just rolled his eyes at this statement. "So Vic tells me everything because we have that kind of a trust but... apparently Valerie tells Vic a lot too..." I twisted my face in an empathetic way and he motioned for me to go on. "So Valerie talks about you to Vic and she says things like how you can be a total jackass at times and even can just irritate her. She basically says she only puts up with you because you're Jaime's friend." I looked into his eyes and saw the hurt. His face was angry and sad at the same time and I mentally high-fived myself for a job well done.
I walked back toward my car where my friends were just talking.
"Did you do it?" Alex asked. Alex is my best friend and her hazel eyes danced with the exhilaration that came with mischief. I just nodded smugly and got in the passenger seat before Alex drove off to handle the rest of our business.
Jaime's POV
Me and Mike were hanging out in my room playing Xbox when I got the call. Some random number came up and I picked it up while decapitating a zombie.
