I got on the highway, driving near the countryside to pick up Otto. He was outside when I arrived at his house.

"Today's your big day! Are you excited?" I asked, driving back into town. "I sure am," Otto said, chewing on the toothpick in his mouth. We were heading to Cactus Music, a music store in Houston to celebrate the release of Entertainment, the second album by his band Waterparks.

They were gonna perform song songs off the new album as well take photos with fans. The event was gonna start any minute now, and we were cutting it close with the time. Otto opened his car door and sprinted into the building, leaving me to park my car.

I entered the building, barely able to close the door behind me because of how many fans were inside. I stood awkwardly against the door until the fans started to move forward towards the small stage that they were gonna perform on.

I stood near the front where some of the employees were. "Shit, I didn't expect so many of you to actually show up," Awsten, the lead singer said. Some of the fans laughed. "Cool. Ok so we're gonna play a few songs off the album and take photos and shit." Awsten said, which got some fans to cheer.

Geoff began to strum his guitar as Awsten began to sing Sleep Alone, a song on Entertainment. I watched Otto play his cajón, a huge grin on his face. I sung along to the few lines I knew. They played a few more songs off Entertainment and ended by playing 21 Questions, a song off their first album, Double Dare.

"Babe, that was so good!" I said, giving Otto a hug after their event was over. "Thank you. I literally wouldn't be here without you picking me up, so thanks for that." Otto replied, giving me a kiss on the cheek.

"Damn, Otto, are you always this awkward around girls? I don't even see how she likes you  dude." Awsten said to Otto. "Hey!" I exclaimed, smacking Awsten's shoulder. "Rude." He responded, walking away.

A few minutes later Otto and I were on the road back to my apartment so I wouldn't have to drive back out to his place. We stopped at a fast food restaurant because both of us were hungry. I watched the pile of burger wrappers on our table grow as Otto continued to wolf them down.

"Jesus, do you ever eat?" I asked. "Yeah," Otto replied, taking a large gulp of his soda. We talked for another hour at the restaurant and only stopped when we were kicked out because they were closing.

We got to my apartment a few minutes later. "Otto, I just wanna say that I'm so proud of you and the guys." I said, changing into my pjs. "Thank you. I'm glad that you were able to come." Otto said, changing into a pair of pjs he left in my room for when he slept over.

I turned the light off and felt Otto move next to me. I closed my eyes, letting the rain that started moments ago to lull me to sleep.
