Driving home hurt, breathing hurt, living hurt, everything was just filled with pain and excrutiating hurt.  I hadn't wanted to break up with Blake in the first place but to find out that this entire time I had sworn my love to him he had been cheating on my with my best friend made it hurt even worse.  I had always known that there was a chance that a wolf from a pack could claim me as his mate, I knew the risks of having a relationship with someone when I wasn't their mate, I just never thought I'd have one.  And honestly, I had been thinking of giving into Blake and finally giving up my virginity to him, something that I cherished because it was my innocence, it meant a lot to me to make sure it was someone I loved that got the privilege to "pop my cherry".  It's just funny how things work out I suppose.

My heart felt heavy as I pulled into my driveway and came to a stop outside my house.  Letting out a sigh I realized that tomorrow would be hard since I had to see those cheating little... never mind.  Plus, I had to find Jake and talk to him about this mate and Blake thing.  Pouting to myself I walked in my house and up to my room for some well deserved sleep.

~Next Day Yo~

I woke up earlier than usual to get ready for school.  The cold floor of my room was a comforting wake up call as I walked to my adjoining bathroom.  I quickly showered and shaved before getting out and wrapping a fluffy towel around my petite body and swiftly walked to my closet.  A small smile covered my face as I looked at the many clothes that were filling my closet from top to bottom before carefully choosing some shorts, a white top, and a cardigan to go over it, later to be paired with my favorite pair of orange converse.  I quickly styled my hair into loose curles and waves.  My goal here being to look like yesterday didn't affect me, and once I got home last night, as I was falling asleep I realzied that Blake meant nothing to me anymore.  Jake was my future, he was my mate and  the only person that mattered anymore so why be so bent out of shape about losing a boyfriend that was never mine in the first place.  The only person I was mad at now was Ashley and her backstabbing ways.

I walked up to the school, alone, sucked into my thoughts to the point that I didn't see Jake coming towards me until I ran smack into him.  "Oomph" I mumbled a few curses under my breath before looking up to see who I bumped into.  A small smile made its way onto my face when I saw it was Jake standing there his hair slightly disheveled and his eyes bright with amusement.  He quickly lent me a hand and pulled me up to a standing position.  "Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going.." I quietly trailed off as I continued to stare into those beautifully enchanting eyes.  He let out a quiet chuckle and nodded before replying, "Its fine, I was actually wanting to talk to you about everything..." I quickly cut him off and told him the news.  " I ended things with Blake last night," I explained.  "I realized that you're my mate, I don't get a say in it, and yeah Blake and I had what could be considered "Love", but I also realized that it wasn't fair to ask you to hold on and wait for things that shouldn't take time or thought," A light blush covered my cheeks and neck as I finished explaining.  A huge smile broke out on his face and to be completely honest, because when am I not, I almost fainted there and then.  Jake wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up before starting to spin me in circles.  Giggles fell from my mouth as I held onto him, my hair whipping around us and flying in my face.  Once we had calmed down and my giggles ceased he set me down and looked into my eyes before leaning down to kiss me.  It was like time had stopped and it was only us. Cliche huh?  Then, right before his lips touched mine, I was ripped from Jake and thrown to the ground only to look up at a very angry Blake who was ready to rip out Jake's throat.  Things never seem to go my way....
