"So? Before I was like this I had to wear glasses to."
"You did? Why don't you have to wear them now?"
"Well a vampire normally has the eye sight of an eagle. I didn't absolutely need them as a human so it wasn't bad if I didn't wear them... and now that I don't have to... it makes it more fun to watch you."
"Don't say that. I don't like being watched. Besides, I'm only human and I like wearing my glasses."
"You can still have them and wear them when I've turned you, it'll just be different being able to see without them. I still wear my glasses sometimes."
"Put them on... I wanna see what you look like."
"Nothing special, really." He put on his glasses and looked back at me (picture with chapter). "See? Nothing big, but if you want me to wear them, I will."
"Why do you prefer them to be off?"
"Well, I don't like them, but I'd do anything that makes you happy."
"Wear them, I think you look good."
"Really? I always thought it made me look like a nerd."
"It does... but in a cute way...... What happened to the markings on your face?"
"The stripes? They only appear when I get possessive, which normally only happens with electronics... or you." He kissed me softly. "Your the most precious thing I own."
"Precious thing? When did I become inorganic?"
"Organisms can be things too, they're just alive."
"I know, I was only teasing."
"You're adorable... I love that about you almost more than I love the taste of your blood."
"Almost more...?"
"Well... I told you, you have a rare blood type that vampires would kill for."
"That's why I had you mark me."
"It is?"
"Yeah, I didn't want other vampires to get any funny ideas... and I kinda fell in love with you... when I found out how protective you could get. I mean I'd fallen for you unintentionally before that because of your looks... but my feelings got deeper whenever you'd get possessive over me."
"That's all it is? So others won't get you?"
"I did just say that... and because I love you and don't want to see you hurt because of someone else. I said that to just a little differently."
"I know... That's what surprises me... that you actually love me and you're not toying with me. I always thought you were faking because you didn't want me to punish you. I found out just how wrong I was... when you asked for the special mark."
