War of Love & Love of War

                                                                            CHAPTER  ONE

                                                                               SKYREACH 

                    The land of Tulley, the powerful House White, a family from Eastern Tulley, have ruled

over the war torn land these last ten years. The year is 1384, the last ruling family the Glaciers,

were defeated by the House White's army. Those of House Glacier who survived the battle, fled 

to their home in the western regions of Tulley. In this kingdom there are many great families who

Lord over the the vast territories. One great family, the House Perry, live in the northern regions 

of the Kingdom, among other powerful Northern Houses. 

                   SkyReach, home to the House Perry, sits upon a large rock face, overlooking the vast

fields that surround it. It's high stone walls have provided excellent protection from would be

invaders. They are an old house with powerful enemies.

                  In this great house, Lord Reece rules over the northern regions of Tulley, with his wife

Lady Caitlin, his daughter Allie, and his son Richard. He enforces the King's laws as per the

agreement made between he and King Richard White. 

                 Lord Reece enters the grand hall of the his castle, where portraits of his ancestors hang

upon the walls. He has always found their blank stares to be unsettling, and has desired their

removal since he was a young boy. However, despite his feelings, he has allowed the portraits to

remain where they have hung for last few centuries. With a deep sigh, he turns to his wife who

enters the room,whom is looking rather pleased with herself.

                "Do you really think it is time for marriage?" Reece says with agrim look upon his face.

                Lady Caitlin chuckles ,"Yes, but only to a strong House like ours. It would not do for her 

to marry someone who could not help us grow stronger." 

                Lord Reece finds himself agreeing to that statement. His beautiful daughter would have 

to marry well, to secure his family's governance over the harsh northern territories.The central 

and southern territories are home to the noble houses who thrive in their sophisticated culture 

and grand palaces. Northern Tulley does not have vast wealth, and only through sheer 

determination does one survive.These last thirty years, Lord Reece has improved the stability of 

the Northern territories,however his house has many powerful enemies hoping to bring him, 

and his family, a swift death.
