It was the third week of school, on a Friday. Annie Stonewood was sitting near the back of the school bus, having her own private debate in her head. 'Hey, if you talk to him now and it goes wrong you have the weekend to get over it!' 'Well, if you don't talk to him, you won't have to worry. At all. Save the embarrassment!' 'Ugh, why is this so hard' she thought to herself. 'There's a cute boy on the bus, just talk to him! What's the worst that can happen? You could actually get a boyfriend for once! Or he could reject you and you'll turn into a quivering pile of that year old lime and peach jelly that's been abandoned in the school cafeteria.. ugh I'm overthinking.' She began fiddling with her thumbs, as if it would help. It didn't. She sat there for another 5 minutes until she finally sucked up the courage to talk to him. The cute boy that sat in the same seat at the back of the bus everyday. "Hey, I've been thinking about this moment over and over in my head for weeks but never going through with it, so here goes. I think you're really cute.." The boys face sank. Annie's pulse began racing her head ringing with embarrassment. They stayed like that for no more than 3 seconds before the boy stuttered; "Y-you s-shouldnt be able to s-s-see me...".
