Aphmau's End

Chapter Twelve

Third Person

   Katelyn sighed as more guilt crashed down on her, the thoughts of murder always haunted her, but she had to for her and her friend's sake!

   Katelyn opened the backpack she had brought with her, to see the waterbottles and small snacks she had brought with her.
"We should take a break, at least until we can be stable enough to keep going..", Garroth nodded weakly at her demand. Dante, Laurance looked at her than back at Aaron, who seemed to be losing his mind over the fact that they were trapped in a mountain and Aphmau was still nowhere to be found.

   They looked at the man, who's eyes frantically scan the purple walled area, as if expecting Aphmau to come out soon.
Dante spoke up, "Aaron, I know all of us haven't been of the best terms lately, especially with Laurence or Garroth, but we need to rest! If Aphmau saw you like this, wouldn't she be upset that she caused this?".

  Aaron turned to Dante, his worried, sad eyes looked into Dante's.
They just stare, as if battling to get the other to do what they say.
Dante won, as Aaron looked away he sighed. "You're right..Aphmau wouldn't want to see me like this. Ecpessally if I need to fight to get her back.".
The other three looked at Dante with appreciation, silently thanking him.

Katelyn got the bottles out of the bag, take some snacks out with them. She hands out to the group.
"I only brought six bottles, for us and when we find Aphmau. I didn't really expect for us to be trapped in a mountain filled with killer monsters, so I couldn't bring more.
I still don't even know why the hell I even brought knifes! We're lucky, I guess.."

Laurence only sighed with dispair. "Can't somebody please at least tell me that I'm not the only one with so much guilt on my shoulders? I never saw myself as much of a murderer, but I have to live with the blood, or dust, thank Irene, of others?"

The others glanced looks, other than Aaron, they were thinking the saane things. "I'm sure all of us feel the same, Laurance. But they attacked us! We did nothing wrong and then they attacked us!
Just remember, we are doing this for Aphmau. But also remember that she might not look at us the same way after she learns about what we did..."

Realisation filled the quiet ruins.
They never thought about how Aphmau would feel about their actions.
"We have to change the ways we handle things."
