The Illimus Lake... an endless void of water and torture, its dank depths beckon you to approach and explore its many chasms and crevasses. The lake is the only place I feel at ease, the only place I feel peace. I have come here to finally belong.

Water rushes up my soles almost like a welcoming hand offering for a dance, a dance with death. Still I wait, for what, I can't tell, maybe something that will change my mind, maybe a second wind of hope or worthiness. Standing here the frozen wind pushes with the waves of the lake keeping me in a battle in between walking forward and staring ever forth into the horizon, and so I trudge on, water rising up my legs.

Staring at the reflection of the water makes me relise that I am the only living person alive for miles. If i disappear no one, any where could find me, I am truly alone and I am truly happy here and only here. Taking a few steps more the water rises to my knees. The water, cold, comforting, and conforming cuffs my legs and my feet have sunk in the warm mud. I think about going back yet there is truly no way out of the Illimus Lake if you make the decision to end here then it's final. The Illimus Lake will always get what it wants.
