"Learn your place faggot.
Don't think your all that because he's with you.
He doesn't care about you."
Vik continued to read message after message from the mysterious number. Tears stream down Vik's face, long before the first text was even sent.
"You should really kill yourself already, before I do it for you. You're suicidal and Simon will leave you if you tell him, you know that."
It's true, Vik knew this well. It echoed throughout his mind day and night. Simon doesn't like drama, and he won't have anymore of it.
"So much hate, so little love. So many people lost because of you, and your gonna lose Simon too."
It's true, he knows it, there's no doubt in his mind. Simon hasn't even told Vik he loved him, and Vik has told him so many times in their past year.
"I'm truly surprised you've lasted this long, I mean, it's not like Simon's there to support you. Is he?"
Vik couldn't help but agree to every text sent. He was even surprised he hadn't ended it long ago, it's not like people would care.
"How does it feel? To love someone for so long and probably tell them that everyday, and he probably hasn't even said it to you once. It's cause he doesn't, and you've come to terms with that."
He has.
"You've come to terms with the fact that no one loves you, yet you still love and hold onto everyone you can. How's that working out for you?"
Awful.
"You know no one loves you, everyone has fueled you to do it, but you still don't kill yourself. You should, and you know it. No one would care and you say that to yourself everyday. Don't you."
Vik sucked in a breath, a shaky, sob like breath, full of salty tears and typed.
Vik: I do.
"Yet you still live. Tell me Vik, why is that?"
Vik:I don't know, but it wont be like that for long.
"Well darling, I think you should just get it over with, don't draw out death. Everyone hates when movies do that."
Vik: good point.
Vik has long left the house and had told Simon earlier he was going on a walk. What Simon didn't know was that his walk, ended on a bridge Vik planned to jump off of. What Vik didn't know, is that Simon was driving around the city panicked, searching for his beloved boy who wrote the letters, that brought many, tears. The letters he had tightly clutched in his hand, hoping it wouldn't be the last he knew of Vik.
Vik finally arrived to his favorite point in London, the bridge in which he confessed to Simon, the bridge with the best view ever, and the bridge he knew he'd end it all on, with a fifty feet drop into rushing rapids full of rocks. Vik looked out and enjoyed the view, content it would be his last. He climbed up and stood, looking down, he took a second, but then all the awful dark thoughts returned, the ones that proved no one cared. He started tearing up again. He pulled out his phone.
Si-mine
Vikky: I love you.
Si-mine: Vik I love you too, I love you, so so much and I'm sorry for never telling you.
Vikky: if only that "confession" mattered still, maybe I wouldn't be where I am, standing on the edge of a bridge, ready to jump off.
Si-mine: don't you fucking dare.
Vikky: YOU DONT CARE. YOU NEVER DID. STOP PRETENDING YOU DO.
"I'm not pretending" Vik turned around to be faced with Simon getting out of his car. "Please don't, Vik."
"Don't tell me to not do something you want me to do."
"Im not! I love you."
"Don't lie to me, and even if you aren't, it's too little too late. I'm sorry."
"No, Vik, Don't!" Vik spread his arms and slowly fell back, his feet being the only thing still teetering on the edge about Vik. Simon rushed towards him hoping to pull him back, but what Simon couldn't fix was that Vik was already gone, mentally, and now he's gone physically.
Vik's gone, In both ways now.
At least Simon went with him.
