"So, what will it be? Option 1... or 2..?"
"I... I don't know... you choose... I can't decide..."
"Hmm... alright then. Café. in town. I've been meaning to go down there."
"Ok, sounds like fun. When shall we leave?"
"ASAP. Get your shoes on, let's go."
"Ugh... Alright."

Jäger sighed and pushed himself up off of the sofa, grabbing his wallet off the coffee table and trudging over to the shoe rack; it stood idly next to the front door. He grabbed his trainers and slipped his feet into them, tying the laces. Marius scanned the room to see Monika, smirking at him. She hurried him on as she opened the door and almost hit Marius with the door.

"Hey, watch it." He said frowning, finishing off with his laces.
"Uh-huh, will do~" Monika sang, giggling and stepping outside.
"You can be a pain sometimes, you know?" He got up straight and stepped out with her, locking the door behind him.
"I know." She smiled and kissed his cheek, lacing her fingers with his and squeezing his hand gently.
"It's good that you know."

The couple waltzed down the corridor and then the stairs, heading towards the front doors of the apartment building. They pushed the glass doors outwards and walked out, starting towards the front gate of the compound. Whistling quietly, Monika glanced around as they passed the guards' hut, she looked at Marius. He was staring ahead of them, not noticing the woman that was staring at him. She occasionally looked ahead to see where she was going. It was as if she was trying to memorise his face, forging every bit of his facial features in her memory.

"Why are you staring at me?" A demanding voice questioned. Monika snapped out of her trance and smiled apologetically, looking away from his scrunched-up face. A moment passed until Marius breathed in quickly. "You still haven't answered me..."
"No reason... I was just... looking at you." Monika smiled her usual sweet smile that always won him over. It was just so cute and innocent. "Am I not allowed to look at my boyfriend?"
"I was just asking, Mon. Chill..."
"I am chill." She frowned, pouting.

"I'll let you lead the way, because I haven't a clue on where we are going." Marius admitted.
"It's just down the road, it's not far." Monika replied.

IQ led him into a medium-sized café that was a large attraction at the end of the road on the corner. It was clean and painted brown with blue accents. Whenever the door opened, a strong smell of a bakery wafted out. It sent strong reminders of the traditional Bavarian bakery back in Germany, a gleeful memory for them. They walked in and saw many people sitting down, talking and laughing. A small queue gathered at the till for ordering their food or drinks.

"What would you like? I'll order." Marius smiled at his girlfriend, who was smiling back at him.
"I'll uh.. I'll have this. Can I have it toasted please?" Monika took a pre-toasted toasty from a small public-accessible fridge and handed it to Marius. He took it, nodded and put it together with his sandwich.
"Do you want something to drink?"
"A tea please, you know how I like it..." she winked at him.
"A tea, alright then. Go find somewhere to sit. I'll find you in a minute." Marius gave her a quick two-fingered salute after she kissed his cheek and skipped off with his coat in search for somewhere for them to sit at.

Monika found a small two person table along the building that had a perfect view of the town square. She sat down and exhaled through her nose, slowly. She took the smell of the fresh food in her nose and smiled, closing her eyes. She loved this moment, feeling calm and at peace.

Monika looked around the room and saw a shady figure push themselves into the café, holding some white container in their hand. They wore a white mask upon their face. Marius saw this person, pulling his pistol out from the holster under his hoodie. Almost instantly, the terrorist threw the contents at Jäger, causing him to scream inaudible noises. He dropped to his knees, shouting at the top of his lungs. As if his face was steaming, his face seemed to melt, deform before Monika's eyes. She felt compelled to push herself forwards and finish what Marius had started. She pulled her pistol out and unleashed hell upon the assaulter.

16 casings on the floor and a smoking barrel ended the scene, however Marius was now on the floor, choking, crying, suffering. Three other innocent bystanders fell under the same fate as Marius, victim of an acid attack.
