"I would be crying too, if I were her." says one of the sisters. "Hmm yes great dangers ahead." says Wasp. "Tempest, Wasp, stop it you'll frighten the poor child!" Exclaimed the third.

"What do you mean 'great dangers'?" asks Grover clearly fearful.

"Well for starters, you're going to make a huge mistake that will change your life forever." said Tempest seriously.

"Hush, Tempest! You remember what happened that other time we gave information?"

"We couldn't find the eye for years", whined Wasp.

But that was enough me. I didn't even know what they were talking about, just that I was going to make a big mistake.

My stomach turned to knots and I felt the panic and uneasiness return.

The car came to a sudden stop and Grover hit his head on the back of the seat front seat, knocking him out cold.

"We're here!"

I figured that much out myself I thought.

"Now get, out!" they all said and I quickly drug Grover out of the taxi and onto the side of the road.

The car drove away with blinding speed. I looked around and saw a path that led up to a hill nearby.

"FOOOD" Grover moaned.

I kneeled down next to him and shook him.

"Grover, we're here. You've got to get up!"

"Food!"

"GROVER WAKE UP!"

Finally, his eyes opened.

I sighed in relief. He took in our surroundings.

"Oh! We're here! Why didn't you get me up sooner?!"

I groaned and followed him as he raced up the hill. At first, I just saw fields of strawberries. But then, I looked closer and my breath seemed to catch in my throat. Grover turned and grinned.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood."

There was a enormous climbing obstacle with lava flowing down it.

In the distance a motley crew of cabins formed a huge a huge omega symbol. Not much farther from wear I was standing  on the hill was a tall blue farmhouse. I saw a beach and canoeing area. Some campers were playing basketball and sword fighting. They all wore bright orange T-shirts with lettering on them, but I couldn't read it from here. It had an amphitheater and pavilion. A few yards away, sat a gigantic pine tree. Wrapped around the tree was a dragon like creature. Above that, something gold shimmered in the trees branches.

"Is that... is that the Golden Fleece?" I asked in awe.

"Yup!" Grover laughed.

"Come on, I want to introduce you to some people," He looked at me. "to someone particular, actually."

I followed him down the hill, towards the archery range. When we got closer, I saw a man riding a horse, and apparently that's just who Grover wanted to talk to.

"Hey! Chiron!" he called.

The man on the horse turned around, and I realized he wasn't riding a horse at all! He was the horse. From the waist up, he was a middle-aged man with brown hair and a well-trimmed beard some gray mixed in. From the waist down he was a white stallion. I recognized him now, from old Greek myths I studied in school. It was Chiron, the centaur who taught Achilles and other such heroes.

He started to walk over, or rather trot over.

"Hello Grover, I see that you were successful?"

"Yes, this is the one."

Chiron gave me a one-over, paused at my face, and them smiled warmly. I felt heat creeping up into my cheeks. I knew I looked kind of different. Not many people are born with dark color hair and light colored eyes. Especially black hair and sea-green eyes. I didn't know anyone else who looked like me.

"Ahem, well, welcome to our camp. Grover, will you please, show her around?" Grover got a mischievous gleam in his eye and exchanged a look with Chiron like they were sharing a private joke. I suddenly felt uncomfortable.

Grover led me around telling me about all the camp had to offer and, most importantly, what it was for.

"This camp was created to be a safe place for demigods, half-god half-mortals, to train and learn how to survive. You, are one of these."

We came to a stop at one of the buildings. The outer walls were gray and covered with seashells and coral. It was very pretty, but made me feel uneasy. Grover have me a toothy grin and turned to knock on the door.

*Knock* *Knock*

I waited.

The door opened and my heart did a flip. The cutest boy I had ever laid eyes on, though I would never admit it, walked out. He looked about fourteen, and wore black skinny jeans and

a black T-shirt with a skull on it. His hair was black and he had pale skin. He wore a skull ring on his finger and a sword with a pure-black blade hung by his side. He turned and said hello to Grover, regarded me, paused a moment, and left.

Grover then headed inside. Before I went in I looked back over my shoulder. The boy was leaning against a building a few yards away. He looked at me and grinned and gave a little wave. I waved back and by that time Grover had noticed that I wasn't following.

"Who are you waving at?" he asked.

"That boy over-" I started to say but he had vanished.

Grover raised an eyebrow and pulled me inside the cabin.
